You can flip the battery around by taking off the fiber optic stem. Lights are turned on and off using the light switch. In order to replace a battery, you simply insert a new one. That's all there is to it. I've been very impressed with this

In the stem and body of the fiber optic bobber is the battery. It is easy to turn on or off by lifting the stem and rotating the battery around.

A cool idea, but fell apart after first use. They replaced it, but I'm not sure what happened.
It came with dead batteries, but it's still a great bobber. I ordered a lot of them and am glad I did.
A 2 of each of the 7/8 are gifted to me, which sink with an eighth ounce sinker attached. The phone number and line of South Bend (Made in China) are both marked dead on the package for us to contact them. The city of South Bend is to be shamed.
