I thought they were cheap when I ordered them, but they were complete garbage. As it turns out, I got what I paid for, as I couldn't hold onto any heavier than 10 pounds for more than a few seconds. From an old package of snap swivels, I have a few left over. They are so hard to open with my fingers because they are too weak. I have to use pliers in order to open them. It is very easy to open the snap on these swivels. So I should have been able to see it right away. When I brought the Walleye to the boat while it still had the lure in its mouth, it snapped free as I brought 15lb test line to the fish.
