You'll need to use bait that's suited to the fish you're planning to catch. I have also used them to pull deep diving rapalas and yozuris down to 30 feet. A snap-swivel on mainline for the BB (#2 @ 65 lbs) on a 60-inch shaft There is only one mono leader at 80 strands. Mahi, bft tuna, king fish, etc were all landed without any tackle problems.
A size 4 was ordered, but it was not what was I destroyed the ring when I caught a white bass weighing 20 pounds.
The ball bearing swivel are made with cheap steel and are terribly made. Your money is not worth wasting. Out of the twenty ball bearing swivels, about eight were frozen up and would not spin three of them had only one ring. There was little stress on the swivel, so it snapped under a few pounds.

The package of twenty "ball bearing" swivels had about five that were frozen. It took me a few minutes to rig up six rods with saltwater reels, 50# braid, and 40# fluorocarbon leaders. 15-pound snapper) that had my old swivels on. It felt as if the swivels broke under the strain of catching the fish. We lost all the fish we hooked to these new swivels, and pulled up nothing but braid. Fortunately for me, I was able to save one of them by bringing up a smaller fish. I noticed the swivel ring was bent and about to snap. It is made of cheap steel and is terribly made. Your money will not be wasted.
There were too many defective swivels. It only came with one circle instead of two, so I gave it only one star.
A total of 20 have been ordered. The 21 rings I received have only one ring on them, 6 of.
The test score for the #6 and #8 is B. In the email from Dr Fish, he informed me that the packages of #8 Ball Bearing Swivels were mislabeled at the warehouse. I am pleased with the fact that I received the right item and would like to change my 2-star rating back to a 5-star rating. They were able to contact me and let me know that the error is being corrected.
Swivels of this class do not weigh 130 pounds. It's possible for them to hold 130#s, but they would be able to overpower My preferred mode of fishing is fresh water, and I enjoy catching bluegills. For the amount I spent on the high quality swivels that will be used on 6# test line for small fish, I am totally disappointed.
It doesn't break when it is tossed around in the waves. A surf fisherman for more than 40 years, I have a bit of an "old salt" attitude. They worked great for my latest trip, which I spent a lot of time with. Basically, they are intended to swivel freely (right? Insufficient strength) and suitably On this last trip, I lost a pair of large fish, and neither of them was due to a swivel (line cut by a shark, line snapped). This swivel was able to withstand some serious tugging when I used 65lb braid on my big reels! It was a good purchase. I would buy again.
When I first received them, I loved them, but after one use in salt water, I found they weren't as smooth. Lastly, there is a discoloration of orange on the outer edges of rings where they are welded. Could rust be to blame?.
These are the best deals and the best quality in the industry. In anticipation of a recent trip fishing over Catalina Island for bonito and yellowtail, I purchased the #2 size (65lbs). The only fishing tackle I need is one for the whole day. This fish never failed me and stood up to a test against 7 large bonito as well. Having these ball bearing swivels mitigated line twist from my main line to my leader and allowed my jigs to spin freely and swim. Add a small drop of oil to all of them so that corrosion can be prevented and rotation is smoother. Owners Hyper Ball Bearings are very similar in appearance and feel to more expensive models.
