Product Description

By entering your model number, you can make sure that this fits.
KNOT TYING KIT - An easy-to-learn knot tying kit that will walk you through the most important knots that every outdoor enthusiast should be familiar with. Backpacking, camping, fishing, hiking, climbing, survival, and more are all possibilities! Two six-foot lengths of double-braided polyester rope, one six-foot length of tubular nylon webbing, and seventeen waterproof instruction cards are included in our kit.
Nylon and polyester, two of the strongest and most versatile synthetic cord materials on the market, are used to make our practice ropes. Moisture, weather, sunlight / UV rays, chemicals, and abrasion do not affect nylon and poly fibers. Both rope materials are suitable for a wide range of indoor and outdoor uses. Learn about the different types of materials and their various advantages. Nylon is a softer and more durable material than polyester. Polyester, on the other hand, dries quickly and is more resistant to abrasion.
WATERPROOF CARDS - Each of the 17 knot tying cards is completely waterproof, ensuring that you can rely on them in an emergency. For quick learning and memory retention, each card employs visual and simple instructional techniques. Bowline, Tautline Hitch, Square Knot, Water Knot, Buntline Hitch, Bowline on a Bight, Mooring Hitch, Butterfly Knot, Figure Eight, Truckers Hitch, Double Fisherman's, Sheet Bend, Prusik Knot, Constrictor Knot, Clove Hitch, Half Hitch, and Bowline on a Bight
COLOR / LENGTH / WIDTH - You will receive three 6 foot lengths of rope with 3/16 inch rope and 1 inch webbing widths. The ropes are orange with a gray tracer and black with a white tracer, and the webbing is black.
VETERAN OWNED AND OPERATED - Made in the USA Knot Tying Kit. Questions & Answers

Is this a kit for kids of a certain age?

For the most fun, I recommend the Cub Scout/Brownie ages.

What ages do you think this kit is appropriate for? My nephew will be eight years old and a big fan of the great outdoors. ?

6 yrs. old - There is no such thing as being too old to learn new skills.

There are 17 cards listed in the information, but only 6 are shown in the illustration. Which option is the most accurate?

There are six of them, each with two sides printed. Some cards have two types of knots on the same card face.

What is the thickness of the ropes?

It's quite frail. Perhaps twice as thick as a shoelace.

Help is required to complete the task
3/5

I purchased the equipment for a 15-year-old who is learning to climb and rope. The knot cards are fantastic, as they are simple and straightforward to use. I'm not crazy about the two pieces of practice rope I got. The ends haven't been treated in any way. The mantle and kern are coming apart; it's fine; I know how to melt and seal them properly; I just wish the seller had spent a little more time and effort to provide a quality, ready-to-use product.

If you've been shown how to tie each knot before, this is a good option
3/5

This was purchased to assist me in learning how to tie knots. The rope is made of. There is a core and it is 25 inches thick. The core makes it difficult to work with, so I used a solid braid instead, and the cards are merely flash cards with no written instructions on how to tie the knots. I eventually went to YouTube to find videos to show me, and the cards served as reminders. And that's exactly why I'd get it: if you're teaching someone how to tie knots, the cards are great for practice at home.

This is fantastic

Knots are something that every man, or woman for that matter, should be familiar with. This is an excellent introduction to the many different types of knots that can be used, as well as a useful learning tool. br>My son adores it; instead of bringing his dreaded phone with him when we go somewhere in the car, he now brings this with him without complaint - Now that he's finished the book, he's learning how to use the knots in real life while assisting me around the house - I would strongly suggest it.

This is exactly what I was looking for

This is an excellent educational resource. With excellent illustrations, it's short and to-the-point. br>One piece of advice: Wrap the ropes loosely rather than tightly. The rope's ends aren't completely unfolded. br>The bends/kinks make matching the images on the card difficult. br>Try matching the illustration on the card with one of your ropes that has been wrapped for shipping for a while. Thank you, Chas.

It gets the job done
4/5

Really, all you need is about $2 in materials and some online printouts to make this, but it's well-designed and the manufacturer appears to have spared no expense on quality. In my case, I've been meaning to re-learn my old Boy Scout knots for years but haven't found the time; however, a recent camping trip provided me with some forced tranquility, and what could be more tranquil than practicing knots? Is there nothing but disappointment in store? In contrast to the orange and striped lengths shown, my package included a striped and black rope. The use of different colors makes it easier to practice the more difficult knots. I'd like to at least get the colors advertised if I'm paying $14 for a couple of lengths of rope. br>br>So, if you haven't found the motivation to learn your knots, this might be the thing to motivate you. Even if it's just because you're thinking to yourself, "I just spent $14 on rope and laminate cards, and I'm going to get my money's worth. ".

A present for my nephew for Christmas
4/5

This was a Christmas present for my 11-year-old nephew, who has recently developed an interest in ropes and knots. When he first saw his gift, he was ecstatic. Though I haven't seen him since Christmas Day, so I'm not sure how well he's doing with the knots, the kit appeared to be a good beginner kit, and the cards were laminated and will be handy and useful.

Ideal for giving as a present
5/5

After my father-in-law had open heart surgery, I purchased this for him. I wanted to get him something to do while he was sitting down because he can't sit still. It appealed to him, and he relished the opportunity to learn the various knots. Because the knot tying guide is waterproof, it can easily be slipped into a pocket and taken with you. Very useful- dandy.

This is an excellent educational tool
5/5

As a firefighter, I wanted something small that I could keep in my bag and use for knot training on occasion, so I put together this kit, which includes two pieces of rope and a section of webbing. The ends are unfinished, as others have mentioned, but a little flame took care of that. Overall, it would make an excellent present for a new firefighter or scout.
