Questions & Answers

Is it simple to increase and decrease the volume of jack?

Yes, my utility trailer is equipped with a jack. It's simple to turn. It slowly but steadily increases and decreases in volume.

Where did this come from?

I'm not sure what I'm saying. Their website is a little hazy about their location, but it appears to be in the United States. br>I can attest to the fact that the jack is extremely well made. Mine arrived in August of last year, and I've been thoroughly enjoying it. Until I got the Fulton jack, I had to move my 4 x 8 open trailer around with a trailer dolly. With the jack attached, I can now easily roll it around. br>I had placed the jack too close to my bumper, and it collided with it during a turn, shattering the black plastic cap on the tube's top. Rainwater would flood the gear area if it didn't have it. So I called Fulton and explained what had happened (making sure they knew it was my fault), and they apologized and offered to send me two replacement caps for free. What a great example of customer service!br>So, where does it come from? I have no idea. Is it of GOOD QUALITY? Yes, absolutely! It still functions perfectly after almost a year of use.

How much lift is there between the bottom of the tire and the middle of the frame bracket?

12" is the minimum and 22" is the maximum measurement.

Do the wheel and yoke pivot separately from the shaft when turning the trailer, or do they pivot together?

This is just like any other swivel caster you'd find on a piece of furniture. The wheel and its housing are the only parts of the machine that rotate. Only up and down movements are made by the shaft.

So far, everything seems to be going swimmingly
5/5

I have a 14-foot aluminum boat with a 10-horsepower outboard motor that was purchased new. The wheeled jack worked in 2006, but the crank handle had rotted out and the internal gears had worn out. I looked at a lot of replacements online and decided not to go with any of the $20-$50 jacks. As a result of poor build quality, the 40 range was chosen. I paid $60 for this, and it appears to be a good deal. Granted, I'll never get close to the maximum tongue weight, but I do push this trailer around after unhitching from the truck. There's a lot of weight on this thing. Also, the entire area surrounding the steering wheel. As I push my trailer from the driveway to my yard, where I park the boat, I swing it back and forth. Although the wheel is made of plastic, it appears to be sturdy. (I saved an old plastic wheel just in case; it's a little beat up but still works fine. ) Before using it for the first time, I removed the top cap and liberally lubricated the gears with Johnson Tripple Guard Grease! The crank handle and wheel assembly are also included. If there are any problems, I will post an update. 4/17/21: Everything is still fine, no problems.

Wheel was replaced with one from the factory
5/5

My pontoon boat trailer, a 24 foot model with a tongue weight of around 500 pounds with the boat installed, received a Fulton XP10 to replace the factory installed wheel. The wheel assembly was simple to install and appears to be capable of supporting the trailer's normal weight and movement. Time will tell, but the wheel assembly's rating is significantly higher than the actual weight, so I'm confident it will last a long time.

OMG, this thing is incredibly sturdy! I rarely write reviews, especially when so many others have already done so, but in this case I feel compelled to do so
5/5

The hitch that came with the Easy Loader trailer is sturdy and well built, and it holds my 2000 lb. Sea Ray comes nowhere near this product, and the diameter of the tubes surprised me. In comparison to this one, my old trailer jack appears to be quite small. I wish I had purchased it years ago. The inclusion of a Zerk fitting is a significant plus. This is an excellent product.

There's barely enough room for a 3x5 tongue
3/5

The description stated that it would fit a trailer with a 3"x5" tongue tube, so I purchased it. It will, but only by a hair. Under any heavy side loads, the mount will become unstable. I'll probably weld some flat steel plates to the jack's mounting bracket to make a more stable surface for it to clamp to the trailer tongue. The jack appears to be well made, and I like that it has a lube fitting, so I'll probably weld some flat steel plates to the jack's mounting bracket to make a more stable surface for it to clamp to the trailer tongue.

The replacement went smoothly, but there is a problem with the wheel
3/5

On my trailer, I had an old Fulton that was in need of repair. I tried to keep it going, but a road object struck the handle, bending it all to h. So, I decided to do a hot swap, but the problem was that the trailer had a welded bracket. Without any issues, this jack was able to swap right in. Actually, I thought I was scewed because the bolt wasn't going to come out, (Thanks Phoneix Trailer for a terrible design), but it fit right in and works 300% better. It runs smoothly. edit: br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br On the edge, it appears that the wheel is grinding. I need to add some spacers. It's a little bit of a drag.

This is suitable for trailers with a tongue length of 5"
5/5

It is well-made. Even though the ad says it fits a 5" trailer tongue, I've seen some comments on here claiming that it doesn't. When the item arrived, it appeared that it would not fit my 5" trailer tongue, but I quickly discovered that all you have to do is pivot the mounting bracket 90 degrees, and the holes and brackets will fit perfectly. This jack appears to be very heavy duty and well made, according to tech support. br>br>I called tech support and they confirmed that this was the intended method of mounting it to 5" trailer tongues. It's easy to set up. A big thumbs up.

I'm furious that Jack, who is only two years old, is a jerk
3/5

My 15-year-old Venture trailer's old Jack was becoming increasingly difficult to turn. I tried lubricating it, but it did not help. I purchased this Jack in June of 2019 and it is no better than the one I replaced after two years. Turning the crank requires a gorilla. I tried greasing this one as well, but it didn't work. I've been boating for 50 years and have seen the Fulton name on a variety of products during that time. They appear to be solely selling low-cost Chinese junk these days. Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Bah! Is it really that difficult to make a good screw Jack? br>br>Recent changes - West Marine provided a 5-year warranty on a replacement Jack. Unlike this piece of sh, I'm hoping to get at least 5 years of use out of it. Fulton jack, which only lasted a couple of minutes.

A Fulton jack and a Camco 44632 Wheel Dock are the ideal pair for repairing a broken jack
5/5

This is a great jack that I used to replace an older Fulton that had a twisted 3/8" pin. After doing some research online, it appears that the 3/8" pin has been phased out in favor of 1/2" thick pin jacks. br>br>I will say that the 1/2" pin feels much tougher than the older thinner style, and the mounting kit provided was perfect for my boat trailer. Here are some photos of the jack, pivot pin, and a shot of the mounting bracket with the various holes to accommodate various trailer sizes. br>br>The jack is connected to a.
