Questions & Answers

Is there a factory loop for looped leaders on the weighted end?

There were no welded factory loops on either end of the WF 7WT sinking tip line when I received it. I created a perfection loop and added a 30 mono length to it.

Is this a different color? Gray or black would have been ideal. ?

It looks like a camouflage line, with all the colors ranging from light to dark.

Is this a hard hand slapping line, similar to my Teeny sink line?

I've used Teeny lines before, and this isn't one of them. It has a much slower sink rate and much less weight, so I'd call it a gentle/shorter sinking line. I used it this past weekend on the fast-flowing Au Sable River in Michigan. I think I could have used a little more weight, but I caught a couple of nice Rainbows subsurface with weighted streamers in fast water, and the line performed admirably. This is more of a light sinking line with a lot of control than a fast sinking line. I'm going to Montana with it. How fast does the 5 pound line sink?

It's about 4-inches long, according to me. 5 inches per second

Selected User Reviews For Bozeman FlyWorks Sinking Tip Fly Line

The only reason I gave it four stars is because the sink rate appears to be slightly slower than what was stated in the Q&A
4/5

A area. This appears to sink at a 3 ips per second rate. I was hoping for a little more in the 4-pack. The range is 6 ips. Apart from that, the line is silky smooth, and it casts my woolly buggers and sculpzilla patterns with ease in the 5wt. I got the line tangled up as I was putting it on my spool, but with a little patience and persistence (necessary traits for all anglers), I was able to get it on. With my 5wt Redington, the line casts beautifully. The loops are attractive, and I can easily grip it, giving me excellent line control. The quality of the fly box appears to be excellent. It's ideal because my fly count just went up last week. So far, everything has gone well, and I've been pleasantly surprised
5/5

I got a 4wt floating and a 6wt intermediate, and they both feel great. Welded loops appear to be of good quality, the butt end is clearly labeled, and the line feels very slick and supple. I haven't thrown them yet, but first impressions are good. I have a 6wt reel with SA Amplitude Trout, which is fairly expensive, and the quality appears to be comparable so far. br>br>They even include a cute fly box! It's difficult to make a mistake in that situation. br>br>My only complaint was that when I tried to spool it, it became extremely tangled. I checked my email after fighting with it and finally getting it spooled, and there were instructions from BFW. Duh. br>br>All right, let's get started. If I had a complaint, which I don't, it would be that the instructions should come with the line so excited man-made. Children, like a greedy child on Christmas morning, muck it all up in the winter. br>br>Aside from that, a big thank you!.

In less than 20 minutes, you can create a list of slickness
3/5

Within 20 minutes, it had completely lost its slickness and shootability. My line weight was off, and I couldn't even load my 7wt. As advertised, the sink rate was good. Even after a thorough cleaning, the problem persists. Unfortunately, I'm hoping it was just a bad batch because the company is well-known.

Deal of the Century
5/5

I was hesitant to buy what appeared to be a good deal on a fly-fishing rod. I was hesitant to give them a chance because I believe you get what you pay for most of the time, but I decided to give it a shot. When I contacted Bozeman, there was a delivery snafu (due to USPS), and They were quick in their response. I'm glad I had the opportunity to work with them. I'm blown away by how well the line loads and shoots my rod. I'm going to see what other products they have that I might require.

Looped Ends Finish a good flyline; the looped ends are great, and I plan to use the line with Shad Darts for this weekend's American Shad run on the Roanoke River in North Carolina

Adding a sinking leader to the fly to help it sink deeper.

Quality is excellent
4/5

My 8wt arrived in green with a black tip, not multicolored, and appears to be of good quality; I'll put it to the test on some Spring Steelhead and report back; the fly box was a pleasant surprise!.

What a fantastic fly box! This isn't a very good fly line! I think it's a great idea that the company includes a fly box with their line; it definitely encouraged me to buy it
3/5

However, while the fly box was great, the fly line stinks. I bought an 8wt sink tip, but the problem is that it doesn't sink. I tested the line three times just to be sure, and it doesn't sink in the least. I did get a nice fly box out of the deal, but I'll have to replace the line; I sent the company an email, but they never replied. It's a real pity!.

a great line with a lot of value I really like this line; I have Rio and SA on other spools, and this one compares favorably to both for a much lower price
