Selected User Reviews For Innovative Scuba Concepts for Spiny Lobster Season - Aluminum
Before going to the Florida Keys for lobster season, I ordered this on Amazon. I wasn't sure what to expect in terms of prices down there, but I was anticipating high prices. Imagine my delight when I discovered racks of these for $1 at a Kmart. This is unquestionably not a good deal. In fact, the link on Amazon says "aluminum," but the product I bought is plastic. For aluminum, that might be a more reasonable price, but not for plastic. If you're going to do what I did, here's a tip: Going to the Keys and not knowing what to expect in terms of prices, or fearing that they'll be sold out due to the high demand during lobster season - A net, gloves, tickle stick, and lobster gauge can be purchased as a kit for around $25 in a variety of stores. On the internet, the price is extremely low.
Capt Van's gauge model 81 is used by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. 8801 This gauge will be returned to you. Gator Buckets makes the only purple plastic gauge I've found that measures exactly 3 inches.
Beware of Barracuda, though, as this gauge shines and flickers like a baitfish. If you're going to use it underwater, I recommend sliding it into the top of your diving glove. I had a great time diving with it for over 35 hours.
This is for the state of Florida.
Perfecto.
They're consistently excellent.
They have a 3 inch mark on them. If you live in California, you should avoid purchasing.
