Questions & Answers

What psi should the buoy be set to?

I'm not sure, just pump it up until it's completely full.

What's the best way to inflate something like this?

A valve (for lack of a better word) is located about an inch below the surface of the buoy. The air flow is restricted by this valve, but it does not completely shut it off. A white plastic plug fits into this and keeps the seal in place. You can inflate by mouth now that the plug has been removed. A small plastic inflation adapter that fits an air pump is also included with the buoy. br>I use a lot of these buoys in my on-the-water work. the- Boaters can receive training on the water. For the training, I have about 8 or 9 that I set up and dismantle. I have a small electric pump that I use to inflate air mattresses. It comes with a small adapter for inflating items with "beach ball" style valves. It has a friction fit in the buoy valve and takes about 45 seconds to inflate or deflate the buoy. A similar pump can be found here: http: //www. amazon. http://www.smart-air.com/ Beds- Electrification 110- B003LIKRKQ/ref=sr_1_3? 125v/dp/B003LIKRKQ/ref=sr_1_3? s=sporting-equipment-equipment-equipment-e good quality UTF8 ie=UTF8 ie=UTF8 ie= 1366989670 is the unique identifier for this item. sr=1- 3& air mattress pump is a term that can be used to describe a device that pumps air I use one that is powered by my car's battery.

I bent two needles trying to force them in to inflate the balloon, but they weren't the right size. It does not specify which needle should be used. No matter how many I have for everything from basketballs to boats, none of them fit. A reference would seem to be required for a one-time needle size requirement. In addition, the handle isn't particularly sturdy. Finally, the white valve with the hole on the bottom isn't a valve, it's a PLUG!br>Finally, the white valve with the hole on the bottom isn't a valve, it's a PLUG! There's no need for a needle if you pull it off because the hole is already open. Fill it up and replace the plug. It still gets a single star because of the frustration and the cheap handle.

Crab buoys are a great use for them
5/5

I bought these for a crab trotline, and I'm using old SUV brake rotors as anchors, which aren't the best anchors because they don't stay put very well, but not to worry, this buoy didn't submerge at all when my anchors moved to deeper water than my anchor line, making retrieval a breeze. Plus, they're super simple to write your name, phone number, address, Fish and Game ID, and other personal information on. I inflated them with a bicycle pump before getting in my boat, and then easily blew the air out for storage once they dried. I had considered making my own buoys out of empty Tide bottles, but after seeing how well these worked, I'm willing to spend the money and buy more if I need more lines in the future.

It is impossible to inflate
3/5

Standard inflation needles will not fit through the valve because it is too long. That's exactly what my headline says. An extra-cost item must be purchased. needle that is quite long Only in compressor inflation kits costing $10 or more have I seen them. A needle, or at the very least a link to buy one, should be included in this product.

Great service, and the plug system works well once you get the hang of it
5/5

To inflate the buoy, you must remove a strange hard plastic plug. I'd never seen anything like it before, and there were no instructions, so I contacted the vendor. Four phone calls were made by the representative to other people who could assist me. Great service, and the plug system works fine once you get the hang of it!.

It is simple to inflate
4/5

I had to laugh at the reviews that said inflating these bouys was difficult! You simply remove the white plug and inflate them with any inflation device you have. We're really looking forward to using these to keep high-speed boaters out of our swimming area.

It's impossible for it to go up in flames! We tried and tried but were unable to raise the buoy
3/5

The hole had a very long tube, and the plastic appeared to be glued together. I even took it to our local boat dealer, who couldn't figure out what the problem was. I had to give it back to them.

Size inconsistency and inability to withstand extreme temperatures
3/5

Size inconsistency, and it may not withstand extreme heat (water temperatures up to 97 degrees Fahrenheit, and outside temperatures up to 115 degrees Fahrenheit). One of them had a hole after a month.

Excellent value for money
5/5

I ordered two to see if the quality was adequate for setting up a course for our jet skis. They're fantastic, and I ordered two more the same day I got them.
