In this knife, what is the quality of steel used?

This stainless steel is highly rust resistant and holds its edge well - Sandvik steel is highly rust resistant and durable. A fillet knife would be best made out of this steel.

What is included in the package, 1 or 2 blades?

The blade is only one.

When it comes to edge retention and flex, how does this knife match up to the Rapala/Marttiini knives?

well with the other. This fish is great for panfish and crappies. As you would expect in a more expensive knife, the blade retains its edge well and is supple. For a knife at this low price, it's hard to beat it. Knife locks in a rigid pocket

The seven lake perch were too big for me
3/5

It breaks my heart to write a negative review, but this knife deserves one. My wife uses Sandvik saws, and I've been using Sandvik blades for years, so when I saw this blade was Sandvik, I knew I had to try it, too. I wouldn't say so. My basic filleting technique starts with a shallow cut behind the head through the skin, a blade along the backbone, and then a cut along the ribs with the tip of the knife, then a cut through the tail, once the ribs are clear. When the knife took out the first three fish, the skin was completely ripped away. By the time I reached the 4, the skin behind the head of the fish was more difficult to get through. As I was trying to penetrate the skin along the dorsal, I noticed it as well. I had to use a lot of force by the time I reached the last (7th) fish to cut At that point, I was beginning to feel like a butcher knife would serve me better. There were no fish larger than 13 inches. Instead, they were all 10 inches and smaller. If the manufacturer actually reads this and reaches out to me in some amazing manner, I will be returning it. I purchased this knife to replace an old wooden handle Rapala knife I had. I'm not sure how to proceed, but I plan to return it.

Out of the box, this razor is sharp
5/5

Steel of good quality. My trusty Rapala fillet knife got lost, so I thought I would try Morakniv instead. I saw YouTube videos about these knives, and wanted to get a survival one, but thought instead of a survival one, I would try a fillet knife. I like it because it is razor sharp straight out of the box, which has never happened with any knife I have bought before. I am good at sharpening and I normally do not expect to have to sharpen new knives, but not this one. As soon as I got it out of the package, it shaved my arm hair smoothly, I didn't even bother stropping it (but I still did anyway). So far it's worked great--shaves the hair effortlessly, and it's easy to operate. The blade has just the right amount of flex. It's Swedish and that's cool, I'd prefer it to be made in the USA but as long as it's not China, I'm okay with it. fairly cheap, but I didn't buy a sheath, I bought a knife. I intend to use it for catching fish, so it will just sit at home in my drawer. I would say it's an excellent blade for $25. A NOTE *UPDATE Almost a year later and I have filleted hundreds of fish with this knife, and it is still amazing to me. A hard steel takes a little more time to sharpen but retains its edge for a long time, so it holds an edge for a long time. Knives such as this one are highly recommended.

A dull, dull, dull day
3/5

As I received the knife from the factory, I was surprised by how dull it was. There was literally no way for me to cut myself while running my finger down the blade's length. Further, it does not seem to respond well to sharpening either, mainly rendering it useless in its intended use. Mora knives have traditionally been a good product for me, so I am a little disappointed with them this time around. I've had a lot of difficulty using it because it's so dull. Its rubber grip is nice and tactile when filleting, but honestly I've not been able to use it much. I plan to keep experimenting with it to see if it will eventually take a lead, but I have not yet managed to do so. That sheath is weird. I'll stick to my old Marttiini Rapala fillet knives and refinish the wood handles that smell like decades of fish guts! They don't stay sharp long, but I can at least There is no way I would ever buy or recommend this knife again.

Sheath and knife are good, but sheath is a joke
3/5

Upon arrival, I found everyone sharp and ready for action. I already own several Mora knives, so the purchase seems to be a good one. While the sheath itself is a bad design, there is little else that I can get online and I can already see it breaking soon. Just loading it into a backpack could get stuck on things, and I don't know if I can trust the durability over time. My rating is 4 stars. Wonderful knife and great value for money, however I will have to get a custom container for storing it, which is going to cost more than the knife itself.

The law of the streets
5/5

My trout fishing trips to Colorado require me to pack knives like this one. A knife can be carried in that state only if it has a blade of three inches. I needed a knife that was 5 inches and this one does the job. As long as you wear it on your belt, you will forget about it and will not have to worry about taking it off because you are in the local town for Since I have had Rada knives in my kitchen for years, I have kept them in my storage cabinet. In my experience, they have all been useful because of a single factor As a result, they are razor sharp and very easy to maintain. There is no doubt that Morakniv knives are a match for theirs. The rest of the comment follows This knife accompanies me to work in my kitchen almost every day. Every time I cook, I reach for this knife. The blade shape is great for multiple tasks, and it has the best handle of any other knife I use.

Exceptionally sharp and easy to take care of! became more interested in fishing and needed a good fillet knife
5/5

I've been a huge fan of Morakniv knives for quite some time, so I decided to buy this. I went fishing recently, and this knife did everything I had hoped it would Providing a super sharp fillet, it's ready to use right out of the package. Although this knife was a bit more pricey than other Morakniv knives, as I am a brand-loyal shopper, it was worth the investment. I will update you as I continue to use it, but so far it has served me well. I definitely find Morakniv to be the best budget knife that is of sufficient quality for my purposes.

Gifts can be found there
5/5

As a gift this past Christmas for my son's 2, my son's in laws 3, and in case I did not remember exactly how many grandchildren I had, I rounded My only complaint came from Grandma and his son-in-law after they cut themselves after I instructed them on how to use these knives correctly and how to maintain their sharpness. My grandmother said, "the knives are too sharp. " My son-in-law said, "Hand them all to me for safe keeping. " I knew I would have had a few left over, but a couple of them were allocated to other family members. It seemed like everyone who received them had a great time with.

This blade is perfect for the purpose, the ergonomics, the blade geometry, the edge, and the An excellent fillet knife
5/5

It has perfect ergonomics and a well-designed blade. It comes in a sufficiently sharp manner. My tool was re-sharpened at 17 after being used for almost two years. A 5 degree temperature difference. It only took me 15 minutes to get the edge just perfect. The skeleton holster is extremely convenient to quickly holster it and quickly rinse it holstered (important if you are on a boat). On the whole, it seems to be ideal for the task.
