I bought another set to give It was unusable after one of the blades broke away from its clip, which holds it into its interchangeable handle. My warranty claim was submitted online per their instructions, mentioning I loved the knives and how I filled out the form. A copy of my auto-email was received immediately A response saying that they received my submission and would get in touch with me shortly followed. My response came a week later to the customer service email included in the auto response. A NO RESPONSE has been received. My second inquiry to 'customer service' was sent two weeks after my first. We have yet to hear back! **Just sent a third e-mail noting that they don't stand behind their warranty and don't have any kind of customer service. At this point, I'm not sure I would recommend this product as long as it can last. Then there is zero backward movement The products they sell are backed by support or stand behind them.
Initial use of the handle led to a broken handle. The blade broke as well. I believe it's right at the point where the attachment is made. The remote location of Alaska makes it difficult to return home. You can trust the quality of products here in Alaska. I cannot say the same for this one.
The set is nice, but you have to keep in mind that it's In spite of my best efforts, I barely brushed against one of the blades while placing another. This resulted in a pretty bad cut on the top of my finger. A flimsy design is on the top of the storage container as well. There is a rubbery material on the outer side of the top that bends downward towards the knives. There can't be anything resting on the blades of the machine because the blades could be affected if they're placed improperly in their slots. I would have thought that more thought should have gone into the design of the container in order to protect the knives. As a final note, don't forget to check out BABBA's warranty options. As an authorized dealer, eBay and Amazon are not permitted to sell BABBA products. Hence, if you receive an item marked D. O. A. when it is shipped to you, you might encounter issues. There is nothing bad to say about the knives they are very sharp, hold an edge well, and don't rust. Definitely a very nice set of knives, and much cheaper than having to buy four bubba blades with the different blade types for about $50 each and the case they come in makes it easy to store everything like zip lock bags, sharpeners and gloves in one case.
I love it!! There is nothing I love more than this set for my husband. Making deer jerky has become much easier for him since he makes so much of it. One of our friends, who butchers several hogs and countless deer for himself and his family, had to check it out and ordered a set as soon as possible. I was very impressed by the case and it is very sturdy! There will be no need to replace this set anytime soon!.
