Questions & Answers
The tube/rubber string that attaches to your peep sight to keep it aligned to your eye every time you draw back is not the answer; this peep sight is designed to stay in place by the pressure of the string; it has grooves in the peep sight itself, so the string fits into those grooves by both the right and left hands. The peep sight on the left side. It also cants forward once installed, so it's perfectly aligned for the shot once you're at full draw. I've tried both the rubber-stringed peep and the peep without it. I prefer this G5 peep to this one! Because of the 1/4" size, it is always perfectly aligned and has excellent light transmission. There's no need to be concerned about the rubber string snapping. You will not be disappointed if you give it a try!
It all depends on how well you can see. When you're looking through your sight at full draw, the peep sight should just fit around the outside ring. The middle size is usually a good place to start, but if you don't have one, ask your bow shop to make one for you. Once it's been installed, it'll need to be served.
That, I believe, is dependent on your vision. If your vision is good, go with the 3/16 because it is more precise. 1/4 will give you a better view beyond the frame, but it will also give you more room to line up your shot. As a result, the 3/16 is more precise. But it's a great Peep.

This one was packaged in a zip-top bag. I'm fairly certain it's a nock off.
All of my bows have been equipped with a G5 peep sight. The older model had sharper edges that cut strands of bowstrings. String damage is significantly reduced by the design of the peep sight. Although, if your peep sight is not properly tied in and moves on every shot, causing you to constantly adjust it, your strings will be worn and torn. The older version's coloring was not as durable; I'm not sure if G5 changed their process or if it's due to the new design, but the new model's coloring/paint on my bow still looks brand new after a rough season in the woods. I've had no problems, and I'm considering replacing my older bow with the Meta Pro if I plan to continue shooting it.
G5 Outdoors' peeps are usually packaged in a sealed blister pack with anti-microbial protection. Anti-counterfeiting safeguards are in place all over. I've ordered at least a half-dozen peeps from Amazon, and they've all arrived in retail packaging. This particular peep arrived in an unlabeled mini zip-lock bag. encrypt the packet I'm concerned because there are so many asian counterfeits of these products.
It's light, and it's obvious right away that it's made of better material than my 5-year-old peep. br>br>Color is very nice; I won't be able to install it until the new strings arrive, which will be a few weeks; however, it's the same size apperture as my old peep, so I expect it to perform similarly in terms of size. Green was chosen to match the new color scheme and to give the project a name. this year's brand of peep.
The color of this peep sight appeals to me, as does the 3/16" opening, but the sidewalls of the peep sight should be thicker. When you get a good pin focused sight picture, it almost blurs out and vanishes entirely, allowing you to get off target.
I was intrigued by the idea of a very light peep and decided to give it a try. However, because it is so thin, it is difficult for my aging eyes to align it with my vision. I took it back and replaced it with a Fletchers.
This peep site has been meticulously machined, with no sharp edges to snag your string. It looks great, and the light weight won't slow down the string speed too much.
I usually shoot a 3/16th peep and have a clear view of the entire sight ring. However, I was unable to see the entire sight ring after installing this. I should have probably gone with the 1/4 inch. My sight housing ring may be slightly too large; this was a new setup on the bow, so it's possible. However, the overall construction is excellent, with no sharp edges that could damage your string. To match my bow, I chose these colors. It will stay put if you serve it correctly. The only problem was that I couldn't see my level and the entire sight ring at the same time. However, it is possible that this is my fault. br>br>Update. My sight ring was larger than normal, and this was the cause of the problem I was having, according to further testing. Since then, I've switched to a different pair of glasses, and they're fantastic! With little to no twist, it stays tight in my string.
