Questions & Answers

Is there any way to tell the difference between the Bushnell engage and the newer prime rangefinders? Thank you, they appear to be the same. ?

My question was similar to yours. I was under the impression that the numbers for non-profits were slightly different. I was looking for an article about reflective targets, but I can't seem to find it. The Bushnell website was useless because it makes it appear as if the Engage has not yet been released. It's not uncommon for the manufacturer's website to be behind other sellers in terms of detail. It's a huge pain.

Exon barrier is a term used to describe a barrier between two genes. ?

It's a coating that's resistant to oil, dirt, and water.

Is it possible to use this to determine the height of a tree?

If you can range the tree's top and base from the same location and are willing to do the math, any of them will work. h=(t2/b2)- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 2 where t = top, b = base, and h = height, 2 = squared, and - 2 is the square root

How many meters does it reach?

In the publication, there are two models: the LE1300SBL, which has a range of 1300 meters or yards, and the LE1700SBL, which has a range of 1700 meters or yards.

Selected User Reviews For Bushnell Engage Hunting Laser Rangefinder

This review is for the Bushnell ENGAGE LE1300SBL Laser Rangefinder, which is the NEW version - it has excellent optics and range, but there are a few bugs
5/5

In May of this year, I completed mine. If you look around or read reviews, you'll most likely come across the Bushnell PRIME LP1300SBL 1300 Laser Rangefinder - Black. which is a model from a previous generation. There were few differences that I noticed.
. br>To my eyes, the optics appear to be as they claim: extremely bright and razor-sharp The LCD information screen looks like this: readable and fine in most situations, but a little difficult to see in shadowed areas- However, it is functional.
. br>The accuracy is noticeably better than my 4 year old (expensive) Leupold TBR Laser Rangefinder, but this could be due to improved technology. While in ARC Mode (angle range compensation), which is displayed on the LCD screen just below the line of sight distance, this rangefinder consistently provides accurate readings out to 40 yards, which I have verified (that I know the angular distance from Stands and the line-of-sight distance). distance between the eyes. I also compared it to targets that were measured at 15 yards, 25 yards, 30 yards, 40 yards, 220 yards, and 470 yards (and were ranged by multiple devices and people). As long as the "bulls eye" or "brush" setting was correct, this range finder was dead on and never misread the distance-- This is an excellent piece of work. I believe it will perform admirably out to their "claimed" 600 yard deer range (see diagram).
. br>With the exception of the two front lenses, it's all black and dull. To the front, I added a camouflage wrap. It's a little smaller than other rangefinders I've used, but it fits in your hand nicely-- That was a good job. It only has two buttons, so it's simple to operate once you've set it up.
. Setting it up, on the other hand, is a challenge. The same can be said for the "instructions. " "
. The FTC statement and how to attach the lanyard were the only instructions that could be used. There was no instruction manual to be found. This was the only information on the two pages of paper, which was written in a variety of languages. The small "user" card served as a kind of feature advertisement. This has to be a cruel joke.
. br>I was able to put together enough information to set up the menus after finding a Bushnell manual for the older model (Bushnell Prime LP1300SBL) online. This Bushnell manual in PDF format is difficult to understand. sloppy organization; and had images/captions that were out of sync with each other. They should hire a Technical Writer to rewrite their manuals, emphasizing "logical and clarity. "
. The Red and Green Boxes in my image represent the two PRIMARY settings you'll need to adjust.
. br>If you can get these settings to where you want them, you'll be fine for most bow and rifle hunting. Situations for hunting:
. Modes for compensating for angle range: br> • Rifle Mode • Bow Modebr> br>Modes of Targeting: • Brush Mode • BullsEye Modebr> br>In general, I think this was a good buy. I looked at every rangefinder under $200 (including the Vortex Optics Impact 850-1). I believe I made the right decision; the optics and technology are present in this newer Bushnell Rangefinder, but the user-friendliness is lacking. There is a severe lack of warm instruction. A range finder that isn't very accurate
3/5

I didn't like that I couldn't see the distance number in low light any better than I could with my old range finder, and that at 30 yards, it showed a 3 foot difference between the two. It's also a little more substantial. I requested a refund and returned it.

Ballistic data that is incorrect
3/5

The following are examples of incorrect holdover/under values: For a, join the D group. The holdover on the 308 at 670 yards with a 5 incline is about 28" when it should be about 160". The replacement rangefinder did the same thing as the one that was returned.

Works
4/5

Over my old 4x, I really like the extra magnification. However, because this thing is very sensitive to reflections, I'll range a tree three times and get three different distances (give or take a couple yards) with the same aim point. When it rains, it'll be useless. Most people wouldn't go bow hunting during a thunderstorm, but I've never been one to think that way. Aside from that, it performs admirably over longer distances. With our humidity, the furthest I've ever gotten a reading was 1200 yards in Kentucky. In this area, my 1200 rangefinder never went beyond 800 yards. ARC angle is a fantastic feature. br>br> br>Because it's difficult to get reliable readings with the brush feature, I don't use it. br>br>It's not a miracle worker; it's a rangefinder.

Range finder that works well
5/5

It doesn't come with very clear instructions, so when I first looked at it, I assumed it was a ruse because everything was blurry and out of focus. I went through the paperwork and decided to just mess around with it to see what happens; eventually, I figured out how to adjust the focus and could see what I was pointing at. I compared it to my friend's Vortex range finder, and the Bushnell danced a little. I ranged 150 yards four times and got 150 yards two times, 149 yards, and 151 yards. It was lighter and faster than the vortex, with slightly less clarity of glass, but it will certainly suffice for my purposes. I would suggest it.

Excellent value for money and performance
5/5

For the price, this is an excellent rangefinder with excellent clarity. I was able to read the text without difficulty. I didn't have any of the problems mentioned by others. The accuracy of the range is greater than /-. Any bow hunter will appreciate this. I haven't been able to confirm any long-distance contacts, but my optimism is high! At dawn and dusk, the image is very bright. For the terrain I hunt, the angle compensation is ideal. I'd tell good friends about it.

My husband was pleased with the outcome
5/5

I have no knowledge of it other than that it met my requirements, was reasonably priced in comparison to others, and my husband was pleased. I haven't used it yet, and hunting season hasn't started yet, so that's all I have to say about it.

Painless
5/5

It's simple and intuitive to use; There's no need to look it up in a manual or re-learn it every time you use it. Simply take it out of the box and push the button. It appears to be accurate, and it provides readings on time.
