When you put your weight on it, it won't move at all, making it extremely safe.
These, as well as a "power tower," are among my possessions. The back support on the power tower I have is tilted, which is supposed to increase the pressure on your abs when you contract. Even at that angle, I find that having no back support, such as these slings, puts even more pressure on your abs when you raise your legs. This is merely my personal viewpoint.

The carabiners are huge and easily accommodate a 1" pipe, and the arm supports are large and padded. I weigh 225 pounds and this doesn't seem to mind in the least. It may dig a little into your armpits for people with shorter upper arms, but it isn't too much of a bother if you adjust, and this could be an issue with all hanging ab straps because I have long arms and it irritates me. When you hang it, it will hang down about 2' from the bar, so headroom will not be an issue. On the bottom, there is about a half inch of padding, which is quite comfortable. It will hang 26 inches if you put your arm in it.
Hang it up, reach in with your arms, and start lifting your legs. Raise your torso into a crunch, hold it for a few seconds, then slowly lower it. I began with 15-minute intervals. 3 weeks ago, I did 16 of these reps. 4 ways to do it I'm not up to 30 reps five days a week. 3 sets. The straps will work great if you use them, and the wife even gave me an unprompted compliment. Excellent product that is long-lasting, comfortable, and simple to use.
Okay, they're tough and come with a pair of heavy caribiners that should fit over just about any chinning bar I've ever seen, so they're good in that regard, but the padding isn't very comfortable for me. A couple of micro-additions have been made. I added fiber towels to each, which solves the problem, but I believe these could have been perfect from the start if the manufacturer had put in a little more effort.
I used to do my hanging leg raises on a power tower, but I recently got a Power Rack and decided to ditch the power tower in favor of adding things like this to the power rack so I could do everything in one place. This was one of the most intelligent decisions I've ever made. Doing leg raises on the power tower used to be extremely painful, but I find that using these ab straps relieves a lot of the pressure on my shoulders. The ab straps make the exercise more difficult because you have to use more of your core to keep from "swinging" while doing the leg raises. This also results in a more effective workout. The product's durability and quality appear to be excellent. I weigh around 215 pounds. When I used them, I didn't notice any stretching or noise from the straps. They are VERY STRONG, and I would strongly advise anyone interested in purchasing them.
I did a lot of research and comparison shopping before deciding on these ab straps, and I'm glad I did. This item is high-quality in every way. Even the retail bag that comes with them is useful for storing items. From the material to the massive D-ring, they're built to last. Ring. Also, I'd like to point out that I use them in my home gym for Eye-Training. Bolts that are screwed into the joists - there isn't a pull-up bar - Everything is in order. If you're looking for a set of straps that will hold up in a Commercial Gym, these are the ones to get!.
This shoddy workmanship can't be justified. It's dangerous, and it needs to be fixed right away in this product before someone else gets hurt.
I just got these yesterday, so it's too soon to say for sure, but they appear to be well-made. br>br>They quickly attached to the pull-up bar that spans the width of my weight rack. br>br>I put them to the test by doing a couple sets of leg raises. It was a little awkward at first because this was a new exercise for me, but they felt great and I felt safe. br>br>So far, I'd strongly suggest it. BTW. br>br> Don't expect a high-quality storage bag from this purchase. It's just a thick plastic bag with a huge rip in the bottom of mine. It isn't a concern for me because mine will remain in place. If you intend to transport, invest in a nice bag with a drawstring.
My Soldiers, on the other hand, who thought they were at the pinnacle of their physical fitness, began to feel and see the core muscles they were working with positive results. Even civilians have begun to incorporate this piece of equipment into their exercise routines, and everyone who uses it seems to enjoy it. Some claim that the straps stretch back muscles that previously caused them pain, and that the straps have now relieved their back pain.
