I was under the impression that the exercises came with the mat when I first got mine. I lay on the mat for about three months, eating pretzels and watching TV, waiting for my rock hard abs to appear. Then, as I was brushing away the pretzel crumbs one evening, it occurred to me that I needed to provide the exercises. I've found the mat to be much more effective since I realized that.
Yes, I concur. It's as if you're saying, "Hey, you're already fit and skinny, want to get even fitter and skinny?" "Lol, instead of people who don't really need it, your target market should be those who would benefit the most from it."
The tail protector was considered when designing the mat. Because the mat is a little thicker than some others on the market, you'll get a full range of motion with each sit-up.

While it is well-made, I believe it would be better suited to someone with a taller, longer torso. It actually hurts my back when I try to use it. Other exercises have included rolling it out and placing it under my knees and abs. I am 5'2".
My range of motion is limited by my weight of 115 pounds, and there isn't much of a rise to this. The flat portion is sewn on the wrong side; it should be connected on the larger side, not the narrow side, to provide back support for your spine's curve.
It's been 11 months since I got it. About twice a week, I do crunches with it, and my wife uses it as a yoga block on occasion. The three stars are due to the fact that the staples that hold the two pieces together are coming loose. I like the idea of a pad for your butt that also keeps the device from slipping around while you're using it, but three of the five staples have already been used. I still have to stuff one side of the pad back into place when I'm finished. It won't be long before the whole thing falls apart and becomes useless. I'll see what I can do about sewing it in place.
OMG! This has saved my life! I don't have to worry about my tailbone hurting anymore, no matter how much ab work I do. Yes, it's a tad on the small side, but it gets the job done. This is a must-do if you're suffering from tailbone pain!!.
I am a 49-year-old woman. I've always enjoyed lifting weights and participating in sports, but I've never done many sit-ups because they cause me lower back pain. I'm now doing 75-80% of my work while using this pad. Every day, I do 100 sit-ups, and my back pain is nearly non-existent. My stomach and core are firmer, and I am in better physical condition. In my home gym, this has quickly become one of my favorite pieces of equipment.
Exercises such as push-ups and squats This is an excellent product that is well-made and convenient to store. Doing sit-ups makes a significant difference. Because my tailbone isn't sore anymore, I'm more likely to do push-ups on a daily basis. It also aids your form as you return. It took some time for me to get used to it and figure out how to use it properly, but once I did, it made a significant difference. This is something I would recommend to anyone looking to do any type of exercise that requires sitting on the floor but does not require a full mat.
The fold-out pad started to come out of the seam after the sixth use. It appears to be sturdy, but it is not built to withstand repeated use. I only did a few sit-ups with it.
