Those who care about that might be interested in the fact that paint won't stay long.
It was well packaged in cardboard and it came with an inner bag filled with insulation No damage occurred to the item during In my opinion, there were a few imperfections in the black paint, but not enough to concern I use it as an accessory for my home gym, not as a showpiece. Definitely recommend this trap bar if you are looking for a decent, inexpensive model.
I like the black color of this bar and the fact that it fits five plates on each side. There was nothing special about the packaging, but it is a bar, so nothing to be surprised about. It is just the right size even if the loading bar may be a bit short and can only hold 5 plates, but it will work.
With most retailers increasing the price of home gym equipment during Covid, this bar is fair for the price. The bar is solid and of a The capacity is likely limited to 4 (or maybe 5) full size plates on each side, but it is sufficient for my needs. It was a little disappointing to see that the packaging was subpar. All of the bars came wrapped or taped in a moving blanket with cardboard sleeves covering most of them. Despite the fact that it was not a fragile item, it seemed to work okay except for a couple places where it had been painted over.
UPS delivered the package very quickly. Although a little smaller than the gym at a "real" gym, this one is ideal for home use. This lifting cage has plenty of room for me as I go pretty heavy, but not excessively. It also carries plenty of plates (I lift pretty heavy, but not incredibly heavy). I like the light knurling. It was a bit heavy when I tried it, though. I weighed it and find mine to be about 49 pounds. The price is great so a little more weight for it!.
Carrying the package to the door was a workout for the UPS guy. It adds so much value to my home gym that I am very happy with my purchase.
I would have paid more, but this is worth the $95 I paid. Let the fools who complain about the packaging go on their way. I agree that the packaging is gross, but it has little to do with the performance of the bar. The fools who complain about the knurling should be ignored. In case you are a serious lifter, you're already using gloves, chalk, hooks, and straps. Many complaints are coming from weak lifters who want a shiny piece of equipment to add to their other equipment that they don't use. Yes, your equipment will get damaged if you are using it. The biggest disadvantage to this bar is it can only fit 5, 6, or 8 iron plates per side depending on the brand, so unless you're pulling over 800 pounds, you won't notice it. In the event that you plan to use heavy bumper plates, I wouldn't recommend this bar. In any case, it wouldn't be a good idea to drop a hex bar while inside. Take a moment to consider this.
My son runs cross country and track and field, so I bought this item for him I was so excited to see him owning his own Hex Weight Lifting Trap Bar so he can train and prepare to join the cross country team at university. We guarantee our products for one year.
