In my opinion, 25 to 30 pounds is the right amount. When I record what I do, I always add the weight of the bar. It's been my experience that beginners use only the bars of different equipment so they have a little bit of heft.
The distance has not been measured precisely, but I would estimate that it's around a foot or a
This is a Chinese product. Upon receiving the item, I noticed that the box was bent with the bar ends scratched up, indicating it had been used, and there was no collar on the product. My Amazon order was shipped back to them, but I had to pay FOD shipping to have the order As far as the replacement bar was concerned, CAP only sent a replacement collar and said it was not their issue, but rather it was Amazon's.

My eyes widened when I saw the rust spots on the box. There are no small surface rust spots here, but very large, thick ones. There was an CAP bar listed for this product. In my previous orders with CAP, the products always came in marked packaging. However, the box for this product was plain. It seems to me that it may not be a CAP bar at all. There is no way I can explain how disappointed I am. It is incredible that a company would send me.
This is not great, good, or even decent, but I had hoped for more. A steel wire wheel entered into a drill was used to remove the deep-seated dark brown and orange rust, which was deeply embedded into the bar. As a result of the severe corrosion to the "chrome", I am certain that surface rust will return in these areas come the humid months. Those welds appear to be done on someone's first day of training, but the welds seem to be strong and will hold. I really didn't like this one. It had sharp spatters and needed to be cleaned up The burring process. It appears that the welds were done after the bar was "chromed" because they are not the same color and size as the rest of the piece. The chrome on this surface is thin and appalling overall. Knurling on the knob is essentially nonexistent, which I don't mind it's just not what you are accustomed to seeing. The surface of the diamond is just thinly incised, not deeply machined. There is a little bit of sloping along the sleeve from side to side and up and down, but I can live with. There is at least freedom of rotation without a hanging. Even if I have to return this, I'm not sure that I will be happy with a replacement and it may even be worse than the original. This cheap quality bar gets the job done, and I do not want to spend more than I need to. It would have been better if it were $25.
One side of this triceps bar is a little loose and the spring retainer holds it in place well, the other side is very loose and the spring retainer does not hold it in place, meaning one side must weigh less than the other side making it unbalanced.
There is no such thing as a "get what you pay for" bar here. The pros are This product is made of sturdy materials at an affordable price. Iron is moved by it. The cons are I am still in awe. I am simply blown away. Chrome finishes on bars like this are poorly done. There is almost no rust at the welding areas It is real. The chrome feels like it was wrapped around the bars with vise grips on parts where it is present. This is a rough and sharp sentence. There should not be such a thing as The only thing I would have done differently is 1 star if it wasn't just for a basic home gym.
I just love how sturdy it is and how easy it is My elbow has been injured numerous times from high school wrestling and I have torn my bicep more than once. A number of different bars and exercises flare up my joint pain, but this bar feels amazing! This bar has been used for my OH tricep extensions for about two months and I almost can't say anything bad about it. I simply put tape over the handles and this has helped to prevent any marks from being left on my hands when I have used it without gloves. I have used this product along with the cap EZ bar for skull crushers and both products have helped me develop my triceps! I would recommend it without reservation! Although I'm located in Florida where humidity is very high, the bar has not degraded at all in just a few months!.
This product is just as good as those sold at gyms for hundreds more. The only inconvenience was that it did not have the weight collars described by Amazon. I was told to contact Amazon, but the response was to contact them. I finally received something, however it is not the collars. It is not anything that belongs to the Tricept bar either. It is wearing me out dealing with it, so I will have to pay for some collars. In spite of that, the product is working as it needs to and it is of good quality.
I received it in perfect condition. It arrived undamaged. There is a good weight to this bar itself, it weighs about 22 pounds. A while back, I owned a standard triceps bar, and I would lay it over my lap when I did bench dips, but it was always a little too I will NOT have anything to do with this bar! The picture is nice and wide, and it's balanced! The triceps can be hit from a new array of angles! PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS ONLY FOR OLYMPIC WEIGHTS A two-inch hole is provided.
I am not familiar with this type of bar (I have never used ropes) so I cannot speak much to its effectiveness beyond saying I can put some pressure on my triceps. sturdy and solid, and it is a good There are screws included in the package It would be better to get snap collars ("barbell clamps") instead of down collars, as these are only about ten bucks on Amazon, if you plan to change the weights regularly. I purchased a number of Cap products so far, and my overall impression is that they make great bars, but their weights are not so great, but they are still quite affordable. It is my opinion that this bar counts as great.
