My answer is yes. Although it's hard to explain, the angle of the curves was off, putting the weight of the bar forward of my grips, which caused my wrists to have a lot of strain. Even though I tried to make sense of it, I had to return About 20 dollars more was spent on another one that I really like. The squeak was so loud that it drove my dogs completely bonkers. The problem would have been easily solved if it were.
As well as the screw clamps, it comes with this item. There is no way I would use them. The plastic locking clamps I have instead come in handy.
Since I have no control over the width of the weights, I have no idea. It would be easy to fit two 45 lb plates on either side. It would be equally easy to fit three, but you wouldn't be able to attach the clips at the same time. The total comes to 285 if the barbell and 270 are added together
A set of Olympic weights is used. Collars refer to the dog's collars Pieces of round end of the bar - Weights of Standard size will not be accepted. A hole on the weight plate has to be large enough to fit onto the bar to allow it to slide on.

A bushing is not needed. This is good quality rust clothes at a reasonable price of $35. Bushings are missing from the sleeves, as the sleeves are covered with rust. It is false advertising for CAP to claim smooth motion in the absence of bushings. In addition to the rattling noise and sensation caused by the weight of the plates, the motion of the exercise will push the sleeve toward the shaft. The bar is a good compromise between price and quality. If you don't care about these factors, by all means, buy it. Otherwise, spend more and get a piece of higher quality. I ended up getting this instead, and it turned out to be just what I needed.
This bar is well made and offers great value at this price. If you've previously used a Super Curl Bar and are looking for an inexpensive bar of the same kind for home use, this bar is sure to be a great choice. However, my only issue with this bar, and this is a personal one, is that it lacks versatility due to its camber. The majority of the time I make decisions about buying fitness equipment while under the influence of alcohol, and I won't purchase anything until I have already used it. I know it was a leap of faith to decide to buy this bar, though. The EZ Curl Bars and Triceps Bars are excellent products that I find to be of great value for different purposes, and on the occasion when I bought the bar, those bars were what I wanted. When I looked at the pictures of the bar and the angle of the shaft, it looked to me like I could save some money (and space in my home gym) by using the cambered bar to cover the functions of the EZ and Triceps bars exclusively. Unfortunately, no. Following receipt of the bar, that was not the case. In the absence of either of those, the substitute is unsatisfactory A bar with too much camber is too difficult to replace comfortably with an EZ Bar, and a bar with not enough camber can fail to mimic the neutral grip that the Triceps Bar offers. I think it is okay for brachial dominant curling exercises, but it eliminates the range of motion required for a full bicep peak contraction, and, for me at least, I find that it does not alleviate wrist stress as well as the EZ Bar does. Trying to engage the steeper part of the cambered grip as a more neutral hand position is extremely uncomfortable due to there being not enough comfortable space to secure the grip. It works well for upright rows and the aforementioned brachialis curls, but I don't see much use beyond that. That's not necessarily a criticism of the product rather, it is more of a criticism of the design of the Super Curl Bar.
As a person who has tendinitis and has always had issues with pain it seems that the more supinated my grip (palms facing me) the more pain I experience in my forearm. The less supinated my grip, the less pain. There tend to be just a few curl bars on the market that seem to have around 15-degree angles There is a 20 degree angle off inline, which provides a better and more natural alternative to a barbell for people who are looking for something just a bit better. This Cap Barbell is at an extreme angle of approximately 45 degrees off angle. It is the most extreme angle I have found so far. I noticed a decrease in tendinitis pain after using the curl bar for a month which meant it was being aggravated by my other curl bar with a less inclined bend. My first Cap bar is one of the most well-known names in weights, but I have never owned one. There is no pro-independence argument to be made for it I almost docked a star for not greasing the bar properly prior to shipping since it squeaked on every rep until I hit them with some WD-40, but I have to admit they didn't seem level until I hit both ends with some WD40. New items are not always lubricated, as not everyone has the ability or desire to do so. My first response to the weight collars is that I have never understood them, so they immediately went in Whenever I need a set of rabbit ear clamps I prefer them to collars for the following reasons collars damage the bar by nature, must be fiddled with to tighten and then loosened and take up unnecessary space Provide them with the space they need on the floor, in the tub, at the bar, or anywhere else they may be. The "free" items deserved no deduction, but it would be nice if they had instead given rabbit ear clamps as an alternative. Even so, I would still have to give this product 5 stars simply because of the perfect angle and hundreds of more expensive alternatives have greater or greater This is a great product for anyone who works out at home or in the office. It is important to note that my primary barbell is a double bearing bar rated for 1600 lbs, which I drop from 36" with 400 lbs. Although I wouldn't try that with this bar, it is not for this purpose so as long as it doesn't break in normal use, I am content. I would probably just buy another one if it broke on the spot or weld it back together again if it broke tomorrow.
It does not have a single spot of rust, weighs exactly what it should. It has a nice balance and is very well-rounded. It does make a difference if you keep in mind that this is a cheaper bar. At the end it has bearings, but they are metal on metal, so it squeaks a bit when it's lifted. If you squirt some WD-40 on it, it'll work This time it squeaked no more and it was 40 or equivalent. Several people complained that the knuriling on the bar is not positioned where it should be. As long as you wear wrist supports and gloves, you should be fine. No! I am not one of them! I highly recommend it for use in a home gym.
As soon as I received the bar I had to remove the sleeves and clean out a bunch of crap. As well as the powder coating on the part of the bar that fits into the sleeves, I had to remove that as well. There are no bushings in the sleeves, so they will not spin freely. However, after cleaning them and lubricating them, they This finish appears to be called powder coat, but instead of being a thick black paint it is more like a powder coating. In most of the knurling, it has been filled in. My sense is that these bars would not be suitable for a chrome finish, or they may have even been While they aren't pretty, if you are comfortable taking things apart to make sure they function, then you can get them working for what it costs. For people who are less likely to work on things like this, a bar of higher quality may be a better choice. In hopes of finding something low cost, with steeper bends to see if it could help with some shoulder and elbow issues, I wanted something low cost with steep bends. Considering that it does that, I feel it was a worthwhile investment.
