On my postage scale (which I use every day for delivery so I know it is accurate), it came in at 10 grams. The weight is 30 pounds.
Several types of cap plates fit, and they are all the same size. In addition to the inch hole plates, Frankie stated back on 6/29/2104 that almost all inch holes plates would work.
When using the Z bar, you will have less torque on the wrists. Alternatively, you can do bench presses using your hands as well, as shown in Figure It is best to place them 4 inches apart so you won't strain your It worked great for me to use as much weight as I could on this exercise. I used to work out at the gym with the straight Olympic bar with 10 inch grip with 205 pounds or more for 10 or more repetitions and would become very sore in no time. This allows you to grasp the bar with a closer grip, thereby developing your triceps and reducing wrist strain. Despite my 62 year old physique and true 19 inch arm, I have never used steroids in my life since I began lifting in June
There was a collar threaded on the Cap Barbell weight bar I bought. These collars are fitted with internal washers that help to keep the collars tight against the weight plates. On some exercises, the collars remain tight, but not on every exercise. For some exercises, it would be a good idea to keep a spare pair of clips on hand.

I was concerned about two things when I saw reviews about his bar it might not be bent enough to be comfortably used since many complained about the bar being "too straight" and 2) that it was too flexible since some complained about it. With respect to the bend, it is not one of the most dramatic bends I've ever utilized, but it is certainly close to what you'll find in a gym. In reality, the bend is considerably greater than the pictures on Amazon depict, so I've attached a shot of the bar, which offers a better idea of how tight it is. As a result of an injury while playing college sports, I needed surgery on one of my hands, and choosing an EZ Curl to lift instead of a straight bar was a pleasant experience, and I had no problems using it. According to the bar's list of capacity, it can support 200 pounds on flex. As you can see from the attached photo, I've got 200 pounds of plates loaded onto the bar, and I can pick it up with very little flex. There might be something wrong with excessive flexibility, but I am not sure what people are saying. Although most people will not load this bar to capacity anyway, you can be assured that even if you intend to do so, this bar has plenty of strength.
Also, I think there is decent knurling on this bar, but that's just my opinion. It's the perfect balance between being too rough, but not too smooth. Your hands feel good when you hold it.
To sum things up, I believe this is a great bar for anyone who has a home gym and wishes to have an EZ curl bar that will do the job.
There's nothing to worry about. As you would expect, it accomplishes what it should. The bar had a sharp and thin metal splinter sticking out of the end of one of the ends. That was the only thing I didn't like about it. This is where the rubber ring used to be. I saw this as a safety hazard that could've caused an accident if I hadn't caught it early. No matter how small the thing was that was causing it, any accident could've occurred. During its passage through your skin, it may cause pain or even poke your eye. If you want to call me paranoid about sharp objects, I'd rather be paranoid and safe than ending up in the emergency room to remove a foreign object. It's true that CAP uses machines to mold their bars but if they're working with metal, they need to check if any sharp parts stick out during the molding process and smooth it out specially if the finished product will be threaded through the There is also a picture I want to share with you.
The chrome plating is flaking off and cutting It only took this new dumbbell bar 2 months for the chrome plating to start flaking off when I have 20+ year old dumbbell bars that are still fully chrome plated. No matter how cheap this bar might be, I would not recommend it.
I found exactly what I was looking for at a great price. The curves are what I am used to, and the knurling on the grips is satisfactory (not very deep cuts, but gives more of the feeling of a med/fine sandpaper). So far, there has been no fading of the chrome My collars spin on fine and the threads are in good shape. I have not encountered any issues with the collars backing off, but they do after a few sets (take it slow and concentrate on your form). It is my intention to get some quick release clamping collars at some point, mostly so that I can change weights faster (by not having to remove the nut).
The cap barbell does not have the chemical smell of the cap barbell. An excellent bar all around. I decided to show the original packaging for those interested in that aspect.
Originally, the packaging was to be shipped on its own, but they double boxed it to prevent the nosy neighbors from understanding that the product has been shipped.
Due to quarantine, I had to purchase this product, and I now feel very confident canceling bar and a few other gym staples that I purchased, I can honestly say that I have enjoyed working out at home (which I did not agree with four This brand is fantastic! I'm so happy I discovered it! In addition to the dumbbell set, I bought the interchangeable dumbbell set from this brand. I'm really happy with it!.
It's so nice to have a curl bar like this! By the time I reached forty pounds, I had worked my way up. For the ends of the screw clamps, I got a pair to keep them from coming loose when I am working with them. Since it is outside, I had to expose it to the sun and rain for a while. It's wiped down with some WD40 once in a while to keep rust from building up. I was pleased to discover that Amazon delivered my item free of charge to Hawaii! The curl bar I use allows me to do six exercises. Those who have biceps, triceps, reverse curls, presses, shoulder shrugs, and straight arm squats should carry out these exercises. As I do reps at a slow pace, forty pounds seem like eighty pounds to me when I'm almost 190 pounds. At 61 year old, I find it quite rewarding to see my forearms and biceps and triceps getting stronger and bigger.
You should keep in mind that I am 5'1" tall and a female! I can do curls, squats, Romanian deadlifts, etc. easily! Exactly what I was looking for!.
