What I want to tell you is this. No matter how big or small your wrist is, you can wear it. Wrapping the strap around your wrist will make your wrist stiffer, making it less likely to bend. The longer the strap, the stiffer your wrist will be. I recommend upgrading from the 12 inch to a 14.
It is not my goal to become a bodybuilder. I am an older exerciser. The only reason I lift weights is to maintain my muscle tone. My wrists have been sore after I've curled for days, and they became more painful after that. It has since worked well for me after I consulted my much more experienced child who is an expert in this field. She recommended this exact product and it has since worked well for her as well. There is no pain and they are not uncomfortable for me to lift because of them In fact, I am relieved to know that I won't have to give up exercise as I had.
While they are a good alternative at a reasonable price, the stitching started to fray after about two months of use and the velcro started to separate In the next couple months, I snapped the thumb loop on them at the gym while trying to put them on. It was not enough to prevent them from holding but enough to make me cautious about pulling too hard. It would make sense to invest in a higher-end product The wrist wrap should be of high quality.
The key to quality and value is to consider both factors. The gift I bought for my mother was a hit with her. I was able to help her use the weights without hurting her wrist. Highly recommended!.
I have been wearing these during the day for a week and my wrists feel much better! The stuff is good.
They are used by my daughter for throwing the I expect them to last for at least one more season if not more after they have last through one.
Basically a good product. I wish I had gone one notch longer, but I am happy with the product.
The wrist saver is the ultimate in wrist protection. CrossFit just started for me, and I've been able to keep my wrists from hurting a lot with all the Olympic lifts and overhead squats. The handstand walk and pushup still requires a lot of effort I find Ups to be a useful.
