I don't know if I've gotten a better pair of wraps in my life. Having trained off and on for 20 years, I have consistently used Harbinger wraps when I need a little bit of stretch. The material is solid and I can typically get 6 months out of them. Because of the thin thumb loops and sometimes painful edges on the wraps, I started to get tired of them. A big part of what bear grips do is to make up for those discrepancies. I like the clean, straight-forward design of the one I purchased. I also like the shorter length, which I find convenient for getting to work quickly. My favorite part of thumb loop is that it is solid and thick. Lastly, I appreciate the quality of the material and stitching- it's extremely strong and durable, and comfortable as well. I've put them to the test, and I often feel a little sore after lifting due to my wrist injury. After the first round with the bear wraps, I have a pretty good feeling. There are a few products I hope to buy from this company in the near future. A strong sense of pride in there product is evident at Bear Grip.
A quick review of my first impressions They look great in this color. A velcro panel that extends the entire width and length of the bag keeps them in place. The thumb loop is something that I have not encountered with wrist wraps before, so I am not sure why they need it, or which is the most comfortable way to wear it. 12" is sufficient support for 6" so I bought that. The wrist should be 5" and the dumbbells should be lighter. As well as being able to absorb sweat, they are also able to dry out pretty quickly. A few months from now I will update.
The 12 inch black and pink wrap I purchased for my wife and the 18 inch flag wrap I purchased for myself. It is evident that these wraps are of high quality. It seems that the flag wraps are a lot heavier and firmer material than the other colors and a little wider as well. Because the flag ones are much stiffer than the 18 inch models, I would prefer them as 12 instead of 18 inch and would be more comfortable. Bear grips customer service is great and they ensure that everything goes well if you have any questions or concerns. The product was perfect and I would.
