Questions & Answers

Will working out in these rip them up?

I believe it is highly dependent on the type of exercise being performed and whether the mats are placed on a carpeted or hard surface. If you plan on doing any quick movement or changing directions, they may struggle to stay interlocked, but jumping jacks with shoes on are perfectly fine because they are durable enough.

Would these work under swings suspended from floor joists on a cement basement floor to provide padding and safety? Indoor swinging is a favorite pastime for children. ?

This seems like a viable option to me. I would recommend getting thick ones because the padding is firm but gives. It should be at least 3/4" thick, if not more. Start with a few pieces before ordering enough to cover an entire floor.

I have a punching bag and am looking for a large enough mat to put under it while still allowing me to kick and punch with comfort. Is it possible to fit everything into a single set?

I covered a 4' x 8' workout bench for my wife with two sets of the mats, and she loves it.

This item is not intended for "heavy use
3/5

" Interlocking pieces don't seem to "lock" together very well. These frayed almost immediately, and after less than two weeks of use, they appear to be pretty worn out. It was described as "thick," "durable," and "for heavy use" when I bought it. But now that I'm reviewing this item, the first line of the product description says it's a "Yoga and Pilates Mat. " As a result, it's extremely deceptive. And I'm only doing 30-minute intervals at most. Jump jacks and burpees for 60 seconds. Even with yoga and pilates, the pieces can't move around like this after disconnecting.

Tiles that are comfortable to sit on stay put
5/5

When the COVID-infected person comes into contact with the COVID- When the 19 quarantine began and our taekwondo studio switched to Zoom classes, I discovered that a thin layer of 40-year-old linoleum wasn't enough to soften the cold, hard concrete basement floor enough for us to practice there. I placed an order for a batch of one. I ordered a one-inch thick foam puzzle mat from another manufacturer (BalanceFrom), but I didn't get all of the boxes I ordered (factory closed due to quarantine, which I respect). So I went ahead and ordered this Prosource Fit matting, and now I can compare the two and tell you: br>Prosource Fit had a better consistency from one box to the next. The tiles are much closer to the same thickness (which prevents you from stubbing your toe or tripping when moving from one tile to another), have a more consistent density (so one tile isn't noticeably softer than another), and have a more aggressive jigsaw pattern on the borders, which prevents the tiles from separating when you put stress on them (such as doing jumping jacks or landing after a spin). This can be seen in my comparison photo between the two brands in my review. br>I believe this is a superior product that has greatly simplified our home workouts.

Not even a quarter of an inch thick This foam mat was advertised as having a thickness of one inch
3/5

It has a label that says it's 1" thick, but it's only 1/2" thick when inspected visually and measured with a ruler.

So, how did I end up in this situation? I received my product late, as in without any notice, and I believe that a company should be able to predict whether or not something will be late
3/5

When I received my package and saw that it had been opened, I immediately assumed something was wrong. When you take the two individually wrapped items out of the opened box, you'll notice that they've also been ripped halfway open and the edges on one side have been damaged. I'm fairly adaptable, but the workload was beginning to mount. The finishing edges do not line up after you've sorted out the tiles. So that's fantastic. When I get to my final two tiles, I notice that they have cigarette burns on them. Fantastic.

For light activity, this is an excellent cushioning option
5/5

The thickness of these tiles is exactly what I was looking for. These are fairly light, so they're probably best suited to lighter activities like yoga and stretching. If you're doing a lot of heavy lifting, rubber tiles are the way to go. When installing wall to wall or around vents, it's simple to cut the material. Because I have them cut in on both sides of the room, they should not slide.

For children's play, this is an excellent cushion
5/5

This product served as the foundation for my 2-year-old's outdoor covered and screened-in porch. So far, it's been fantastic! My two-year-old daughter and I have a one-year-old daughter. My 5-year-old nephew has fallen and gotten right back up without making a peep. I'd be singing a different tune if we simply left it as concrete.

The new tiles are incompatible with the existing ones
3/5

I bought two packets for a total of 12 tiles, and they worked perfectly. They didn't fit with the first two packets when I purchased a third. When I'm carrying weights in my garage, I'm afraid I'll trip over them. Pro source appears to be losing ground in terms of quality control and standardization. Returning would be far too inconvenient. br>br>.

It turned out better than I had anticipated
5/5

I was putting this mat together at the time. It feels very light weight right out of the box. However, as I assembled the six pieces, the thickness felt solid. I began by walking on it, then placed my bench on top of it and tested it that way. It makes me happy. It didn't pull apart or anything like that. The size is just right for my bench. It turned out exactly as I had hoped. Have a go at it.
