I was overjoyed to receive the mat because I had previously completed my homework on mats. I noticed a portion of the mat had been cut and there were also marks on the mat as soon as I received it. They sent out a replacement mat, which didn't even measure the 7 X 5 that it was supposed to. They say I should return the mat for a refund, but since I live alone, packing it up and getting it from the 5th floor down to a parking garage and mailing it out is quite a task. Again, I was very excited to finally be able to get the mat I truly desired and VERY disappointed to receive the mats in the condition they arrived in.

I really wanted to like it, but it didn't pan out. Super fast shipping, well-packaged, high-quality product, no slipping, and a great size with plenty of room. br>br>However, if you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, this is the place to be I bought it to do high-intensity interval training (Insanity) outside on my cement patio, but the padding isn't thick enough for heavy jumping on a hard surface. I felt like I'd need two or three of them stacked to protect my joints, and these were far too expensive. br>br>In terms of quality, I gave it four stars. This would be ideal for medium-impact workouts or use on a softer surface.

PASS! I'd had this large mat for about a week and wanted to put it to the test before writing anything on it. This was the second time I had placed an order. The first one was lost by USPS after it had been sent out for delivery. What happened to it, no one knows. So I got a refund for that one after contacting the seller and Amazon, and I quickly placed another order for this one. The first one, unfortunately, cost $119. 95, and by the time I returned to this one, it had risen to $138. (I'm not sure why this number is so high). It was still the cheapest I could find in this size, as smaller ones (6'x5' and up) cost $146 and up. This one was bigger, exactly what I needed, and since the seller offered a refund, I figured "why not?" "UPS, not the seller, is to blame for the original order's loss. I've been using it for about a week for PiYo because my apartment has carpet (which I despise) and my regular yoga mat was simply not enough to keep me from slipping around because it didn't cover enough space. I had previously purchased interlocking ones, but I promptly destroyed them (I swear, I kept landing exactly on the interlocking part, and it simply broke). So I needed something big enough to do a plank and get a good leg stretch without having to move around to keep my feet from slipping inside the yoga mat. THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR! I positioned it with the smooth side up and the 'circles down' (as you'll notice when you receive it). It doesn't slide around on my carpet and doesn't make my bare feet slick! After every workout, I clean it. Now, the first time I worked out on it, I did slip around and break a sweat. However, it has not occurred since. I'm able to get more out of my workouts because I don't have to rely on my strength to keep from slipping on my carpet or to adjust my position halfway so that my feet are always inside the yoga mat. When you first open it, it has a slight rubber smell, but after a week, it has gone away. I also clean it after every workout, as I previously stated. I'm glad I came across this and decided to give it a try.

I ordered four of these and they fit perfectly end to end and side to side in my 14' 2" x 10' space; there is a 1" gap on two walls, but it works perfectly. I trimmed around a boxed post, the mat was super easy to trim with a razor, and it was 1/3 the price of adding interlocking mats. All four mats were set up in about 15 minutes. br>br>Perfect no-slip for any type of workout, we used it to cover some Pergo flooring where our yoga mats had slipped.

It's just that I wish it was 7 x 7 feet. Great mat that you can keep out on the floor without worrying about it shredding like my extra thick/extra long yoga mat did. Enough space to do yoga, PiYo, ballet/barre exercises, and push-ups while traveling. chin-ups, ab roll-ups- You can do push-ups without worrying about your head or feet flying off the mat. The surface is not damaged by using chairs for balance. I clean with a Swiffer sweeper, dry Swiffer wipes, and microfiber elastic "socks" that fit over the Swiffer head (there are a few on Amazon). To "break in" the mat and make it less slick, there's no need to follow the instructions in the Gorilla Mats "Getting Started" PDF: It was effectively broken in after a few weeks of using a water and essential oil yoga mat spray (if you are the homemade/DIY type, NOW Foods has some good recipes on their website under the "essential oils" category). If you have any questions, the customer service is excellent and prompt. br>br>My only complaint is that I wish they had a 7 x 7 foot mat because some of my traveling squat exercises end up off the mat. I solve it by going diagonally across the mat to keep my eyes on the exercise video I'm watching, but a 7 x 7 square would be ideal.
