The material used to make the ball is cast. The weight is set in stone.
We're concerned that the ball will be broken by a dog.
Yes, but it's something I wouldn't recommend. The medicine ball has handles, and if it bounced off a wall and landed on one of the handles, it would not bounce back to you.

I started a return but decided against it because I hoped the odor would go away, but after 6-hours, the odor was still there. It hasn't faded in weeks, and I can't imagine breathing such a chemical odor while exercising is healthy. The description stated plainly that the rubber was safe, which was clearly false advertising. I'm stuck with a $70 ball that I can only use if I want to inhale chemical fumes. br>Choose a different product; I'm sure I'll do so the next time.
Wow! A double- It makes perfect sense to use a handled ball. br>With a standard round ball (without handles), you risk dropping it at any time, or having it slip out of your hands due to greasy or sweaty hands, and smashing something nearby, such as a lamp or anything breakable. Alternatively, you must focus on maintaining your grip on the ball rather than thinking about your form or the specific exercise you are performing. br>If it slips from your grip and rolls away, you'll have to stop working out and get up to go retrieve the ball, which is already a hassle. Having a secure grip on the ball with both hands, no matter which way you twist or turn or how heavy the ball is, can only be a plus because you can think about doing the moves rather than worrying about dropping the ball.
It's a great exercise aid for my wife because she likes to use weight but doesn't like dumbells or other similar equipment. It can be used for a variety of movements, so it's perfect for her.
There was a strong rubber/chemical odor when I first opened the box. It stank up the room, so I took it outside for a few weeks before bringing it back in to use. I can't use the handles because they're too big for my hands. I have large hands for a woman and wear men's L gloves most of the time. The handle, on the other hand, is a little flat and wide, with enough room for fingers but not enough. I would not recommend it because of these drawbacks.
I only needed a medicine ball for a few exercises, such as squats and presses, and this ball is ideal; I chose the 10 pound version, which is ideal for me (120 lbs, 5'4"). The material is extremely durable, and the grip is extremely comfortable; overall, I am very pleased with my purchase.
Simple to work with. The ball's handles aid in fripping and control. The ball has a wide range of applications and can be used for a variety of exercises.
The 6 pound medicine ball is the best choice. For me, it's a little too big. I'm a small person, so I wish they'd keep it at the 6 pound size. Even after all these years, great products for at-home workouts are still available.
It appeals to me. This is such a well-made item that it will last a lifetime.
