This item is extremely hazardous and should not be used as directed. I received the Medicine Ball and used it to perform slams as part of a core body strength workout. The ball bounced back and slammed into my jaw with such force that I am experiencing ringing in my ears, lock jaw, and severe headaches. Slams should not be attempted with this ball. It's extremely hazardous.
It was exactly what I was looking for. For my new army pt training, I needed to find a weighted ball. This product went above and beyond my expectations. Excellent value for money, and very quick delivery.
This is what I wanted for a slam ball, and the ad stated clearly that it "doesn't bounce. " On my first attempt, I tossed it down from above with the intention of retrieving it while squatting. It was on the verge of slamming into me. I didn't squat on the next attempt, and it returned to about neck height. It has a lot of restrictions. This isn't a slam dunk opportunity. As a result, I returned it to the sender. I gave it three stars because, when used as a weighted bouncing ball, it appears to be of good quality.
Except for the fact that it stinks so bad, this ball is in perfect condition. I let it sit for a week to dry out. Then I washed it, and it still stinks almost as bad as it did on the first day after several weeks. It bounces and appears to be sturdy, but due to the offensive odor, I would not buy it again.
I'm not sure if smaller 10lb medicine balls exist, but this ball can be used for squats, slams, and plank balances. br>It's strong enough that it won't give if you do something like reverse crunches with the ball between your thighs, but it doesn't feel like you're pressing into a rock. I've had no problems dropping the ball, and I've used it in a variety of exercises that require a medicine ball. When you first take it out of the package, there is a faint odor, but it went away after about two days for me, and I no longer smell it. It's simple to keep clean, and the colors are appealing.
Good exercise ball for the money, especially when compared to higher-priced ones like those from Power Systems. When first unpacked, there is a strong rubber odor, as other reviewers have mentioned. I scrubbed it with dish soap several times and let it air out for a week. Some of the odor was diminished as a result of this. br> A month's worth of updates - Due to an injury that prevented him from exercising, the ball was left outside in a storage closet. The odor of rubber has been diminishing.
This ball was just delivered to me today. I can see myself working out hard. The ball is 10 pounds in weight and is absolutely stunning. It was delivered and packaged in a professional manner. The order process and prompt delivery have both wowed me.
When it was safe to exercise again, I did a couple of exercises with my husband, who enjoys them as well.
