Questions & Answers
This medicine ball is ideal for vertical toss/catch and partner passes. So, yes. However, keep in mind that this is a firm, compact medicine ball rather than a soft, impact ball. I wouldn't recommend a 12 pound for an 11-year-old who is just getting started. It's possible that a score of 8 or 10 will suffice.
No, as far as I know.

I run a physical therapy clinic and purchased a few Day 1 Fitness products for it after another therapist recommended it (plus the great price ow ow!). In comparison to the previous medicine balls we had, I really like this one. My favorite feature is the dual texture, which features fingertip size dimples (like a golf ball) on the black pattern and small little bumps (like a basketball) on the colored portion, making it very easy to grip. I work with a wide range of patients, and almost all of them complain about their grip, regardless of their hand size or how sweaty they are. The good grip allows for a lot of control during exercise, which means less risk of injury. which is precisely what I'm interested in! In addition, this ball will bounce back. As a result, I frequently use it with my athletes to improve their explosive power and reaction time. I use this ball on a regular basis for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, and it's built to last. I'm very pleased with the product and plan to purchase more in various weights so that I can work with a wider range of weights.
I bought this Day 1 Fitness 16 lb ball (grey) to start building my home gym, as well as to bring into the clinic (physical therapist) for my high-level patients. I've used it in two ways so far - Lifting/calisthenics and plyometrics I like how the textured design allows for good grip when doing plyometrics (hence the title!). Perhaps I was a tad exaggerated. For this, I'm going with a 16-pound ball in the hopes of emulating Novak Djokovic's backhand. maybe. Workouts on the core and tennis have been fantastic. Great bounce, great grip, great durability, GREAT PRODUCT - I use it in my clinic for pushups and adding weight to other movements like squats, lunges, and so on. Simply add some oomph and you're ready to go.
The dimples on this ball really set it apart from the competition. I tried the 100% pebble surface weight balls and they are extremely difficult to hold. That is not the case with this one. The quality of the construction appears to be excellent, and the interior is extremely solid; I would purchase this brand again if I were to gain weight.
The quality of this product is excellent. The ball is appealing to the eye and simple to hold - It's a whole lot less stressful than my $89. 00 ball. The smell, oh, the smell of rubber is overwhelming, which is why I gave it four stars. I have to stop and take a breather when I'm working my abs on the floor mat. The smell of the ball is just too overpowering, not because the workout kicked my fanny. So, you see where I'm going with this. Great quality, easy to handle, and attractive, but with an unpleasant odor that has faded with use. I recommend it, but be aware that it will require a thorough cleaning before use.
They can take simple activities to the next level while also providing tone and strength. My 10 and 12 pound medicine balls were too heavy for me to hold between my legs, but this little baby was just the right size and weight for both. It has a tacky exterior that keeps it in place whether I'm wearing shorts or sweatpants, and it's not too rigid, so I can squeeze it. Despite their soft exterior appearance, some medicine balls are simply too rigid. You can buy with confidence.
With so many options, I decided to try this medicine ball, and it's been great so far. The ball has a good grip design. enables it to be held with ease. Mine has no strong odor, and I've had plenty of opportunity to use it. It's held up well, with no splits or cracks, and the rubber remains grippy. It's primarily used for upper-body stretching. However, there are a plethora of other applications for this. So, don't waste any more time looking and add to cart.
After four months of use, this ball, which I purchased in November, has busted. It's designed to be used as a workout ball, so it should be able to withstand a lot of bouncing. I wanted to exchange it, but since the return deadline has passed, I don't have that option.
Durable. As part of my workout, I've thrown the ball against a cement wall several times and it hasn't worn out.
