Questions & Answers

I ordered the wrong size gloves and Amazon won't let me exchange them; is there any way to exchange for a larger size?

I don't know what to do because Amazon has always been accommodating to me.

What is the best way to get back?

The Amazon return policy should be able to guide you through the process of returning an item.

Is it true that these gloves can be used in an obstacle race?

I have my doubts. I'm not sure because I don't do those.

I'd like my money back so that I can purchase gloves from a different brand with a higher quality standard
3/5

I ordered a new pair of on January 15, 2017, and when they arrived, I double-checked the stitches on the gloves' fingers becausebr>(The last time I bought a pair of these exact gloves, the stitches on the finger did not last long, less than a month, and I assumed I had a defective pair and did not return them because I lived in a country where mail and delivery were ineffective). So I gave it another shot and purchased this new pair, which came as no surprise! I didn't even have to wear them once before one of my fingers was unstitched; basically, Harbinger Gloves are a HUGE PEACE OF SH. T, there isn't any kind of quality control. I haven't even taken them out of their original packaging. It wouldn't be enough if I could give them a minus 5 star rating (this is the second time). br>I would like my money back so that I can purchase gloves from a different brand with a higher quality standard. Even the day I purchased them is visible in the photos.

I'm disappointed that these didn't last as long as they should have; I bought them in January, so we're talking about four months of use
3/5

The stitching on all of the fingers has split, and they're already worn out! br>br>I've been buying Harbinger gloves for 15 years and have always found them to be of excellent quality, lasting at least a year before needing to be replaced. I lift weights three times a week on a regular basis. They've always held up despite being used five days a week for an hour at a time. I'm not sure if the manufacturing processes have changed, but something about the quality has changed; I'm not happy that these gloves didn't last, so I ordered a different brand of gloves yesterday.

It isn't the same as it once was
3/5

A few years ago, I had another pair of Harbinger gloves that were virtually indestructible. I used it for about 4 hours. I bought different brands before I finally saw this and knew I needed it. I spent 5 years in the gym and then my husband stole it and used it to do some work in the garden, so it was only used for that after that, and it lasted another few years, but it got lost. I bought different brands before I finally saw this and knew I needed it. I was sorely mistaken. br> br>This isn't even close to the Harbinger I wrote the first time. After about 3-hours, it began to fall apart. 4 months. I used it for a year, but it only got worse with each workout. I'm a woman, so I don't lift heavy weights and only work out my upper body once a week. And it's still happening. It is not something I would advise you to do.

If you want calluses, no pull tabs, little to no padding, a short wrist wrap, and so on, these are the gloves for you! Harbinger gloves were once the industry standard when it came to weightlifting gloves
3/5

They now appear to be a much less well-made version of the previous standard, with no palm vents. The palm padding is very thin, and while it appears to be adequate in the product photos, it isn't what it once was, and will, in my opinion, wear out quickly over time due to its thinness. The finger length is ideal for getting a few calluses on your fingers (isn't that why you buy weight lifting gloves in the first place, so the knurling on the bars doesn't chew up your hands and cause calluses?). The wrist wrap is just long enough to wrap around and stop a few inches short of wrapping all the way around to be centered again on the top of the wrist; instead, it falls short and thus is bulkier and stiffer on the inside of the wrist, making the fit of the gloves fall short of comfortable (of course, this will depend on wrist size, but IMO it appears that harbinger has the same length of wrist wrap regardless of size, so a small probably goes too far). Speaking of XL, I'm glad I went up a size because the XL feels more like a large to me, so if you're on the fence about sizing, go up. These are the same design from years ago, but they never decided to update the design and add any type of pull tabs on the ends to help you get them off, so every time I pulled them off, some fabric from the inside of the finger came out, so who knows how long the stitching will last. Again, the pictures make these look a little more durable and thick on the palm area padding, but that's far from what you get and feel when you put them on. I've already developed calluses as a result of using them for about two weeks (probably seven). 9 hour- ish long lifting workouts), but I didn't have any to begin with when I was wearing my old gloves, which have no name and I can't recall where I bought them a few years ago. The only positive thing I can say about them is that the thumb section feels semi-durable and has slightly more padding than the rest of the palm area. br>br>These gloves are probably only useful for people who only work out on machines and never touch a bar with any kind of knurling. br>br>I'll try to make the most of my $17 by using them as lawn mowing gloves; with the finger tips open, I'll be able to easily locate and press the small buttons on my bluetooth headphones (skip track and volume up and down) while mowing the lawn. br>br>I think I'll try these () other more expensive gloves for lifting because they appear to address all of the drawbacks I discussed with the harbingers (pull tabs, possibly thicker and more durable rubber palm padding, longer finger protection, longer-looking wrist wrap). I almost bought them before these, but since I had harbingers years ago and they were pretty decent back then, I figured why spend the extra and just get the old standard that everyone used to buy, and I was a little skeptical of the rubber palm padding the other gloves had, but now I think I'll give them a try because the harbingers aren't going to cut it for weight lifting.

Long- Wearer of the Harbinger for a long time has been dissatisfied with the quality of the product
3/5

It appears that I am not alone in needing to replace these gloves two months after purchase. I was extremely disappointed because I adored my previous gloves, which I wore for a year and a half before they finally gave out. When I first started wearing these gloves, the stitching on the fingers began to come undone almost immediately. Simply undoing the wrist wrap today caused the stitching on one of the Velcro patches to fail. Your Velcro shouldn't be able to hold up to the stitching! br>br>These gloves are of poor quality, and it's past time to look for alternatives.
