My boy, who is 6 years old, fits great in the small sizes.

How does the size chart work?

The one I searched for did not exist. My son is 9 years old so I bought a size small. This is a real snug fit for an old girl. Getting the medium would be a better choice. I hope this is helpful.

Can these be used by children of different sizes?

I have been in the military for five years. He is an old man. It is likely that the fingers will be 1/2" too long on the gloves.

This pair of gloves fits snug, the Velcro strap holds tight, and we enjoy how the index finger and middle finger end have a rubber texture to allow them to grip the bike We will definitely buy from this company again in the future.

After riding light for months, the gloves' fingertips wore out very quickly

The gloves ripped at the tips of fingers. It was not what I expected in terms of quality. Fox is one of my favorite brands, but these gloves did not live up to my expectations.
