Questions & Answers

What is the maximum number of alarm clocks and timers you can set?

You can set up to three alarms at once, one timer at a time, and as many daily "occasion" alerts (for birthdays and special days) as you want.

I've had this watch for a few years, and I took it swimming with it, and it no longer works. Is there any way to correct this?

I've had two of these, both of which lasted about a year before dying. My new watch only went swimming once, and it 'fogged' up for quite some time after that. I took it in today to have the battery replaced because it was dead, and she told me there was moisture in it (I never shower in it, wash my hands with it, etc.). When she attempted to replace the battery, it failed. My first watch had the same problem with the battery, which she checked and found to be fine. So, exactly one year and three days later, I'm in the market for a replacement.

Is there a way to know how many steps you've taken with this watch?

Hello,br>No, this was not a step counter.br>Thank you for your time.

What method is used to keep track of laps? Is there a button you must press? Is it detecting a shift in the direction it's going?

You record a lap by pressing the main face button "lap/Split." The watch can store 99 laps in its memory, but you can only recall 30 at a time.

A fantastic watch receives an unwelcome downgrade
3/5

Women's Ironmans have long been a favorite of mine. My old Timex finally gave out on a surf trip to Central America, so I went out and bought a new one. I adore the alarm clock and the fact that it can be set for multiple times. time, and particularly the Indiglo functions, so that you can see what time it is anywhere, at any time. br>br>My main issue with this Timex is that the band is extremely cheap, and you can tell right away when you take it out of the box that it will break sooner rather than later. This is a cheap hard plastic that will likely crack with minimal use, rather than a high-grade rubber that can withstand heavy use and activity. Because of the watch's design, replacing a broken band with a new one will be impossible. Timex comes out on top twice in a row - It breaks more frequently, necessitating the purchase of a new watch (rather than just a band). I'm incredibly let down.

For a man (with thin wrists), it's perfect
5/5

I have an older men's ironman that is worn out and needs to be replaced. I don't need the band because it's too long. The clasp is made of metal and sits a little off-center. center on the underside of my wrist, near the point where it curves around to the front. The too- The long strap flops around and catches on things from time to time. I was unable to locate a smaller-sized version. So I tried this "womens" watch (the most manly-looking of the bunch). (Of course, it's a good-looking one). It appeals to me more. The band is much more comfortable on my wrist, with the metal band in the middle and no flop. I also like that the watch is lighter, with a smaller, less bulky face and band, making it less noticeable when I'm wearing it (cycling weight weenies will appreciate this). The face is still large enough to read easily and has all of the same great features as my men's ironman watch, plus the newer models now have an hourly chime, which is nice! 17 is the circumference of my wrist. 5cm or a size of a size of a size of a size of a size 0" all the way around On this watch, I use the 6th of nine band slots, while on my men's ironman, I use the 3rd of nine band slots. Weight: This one weighs in at 28 grams, while the men's version weighs in at 39 grams. br>br>Pictures show the difference between my previous men's ironman and this new "women's" ironman. I couldn't figure out how to change the photo order because it was confusing. They are: (2) compare and contrast men's band on the left, (2) men's band (wider and with a different clasp) My wrist is in the center, and the band's end hangs over the edge - I find it to be excessively long - (3) womens band (less wide, clasp is more centered on my wrist and end does hang over edge of wrist), (3) womens watch (smaller, and appears new), and (5) mens watch, which appears to be a little beat up.

This watch was purchased as a present for my daughter
3/5

This watch was purchased as a present for my (11-year-old) daughter. year- daughter, who is twelve years old It started fogging up after only a few months of regular use (she didn't even wear it for swimming). I followed the instructions for sending it in for repair under the one-year warranty listed on this site, but I have yet to receive any communication or the watch, despite the fact that it has been over a month. Because there is no phone number or website to contact, it appears that I am now out nearly $43. br>NOTE: THIS PAGE HAS BEEN UPDATED. The watch *did* return from being "repaired" shortly after I submitted the above review. Unfortunately, regular use (such as showering) causes it to fog up, and the returned watch came with an $8 bill (apparently for the cost of the "repair"). So, I spent about $8 to ship it in for repair, mailed a $7 check along with the watch as per repair instructions, and was then charged an additional $8. All for a watch that works no better than it did when I sent it in (aside from the Indiglo feature, which had stopped working, now works again). What a letdown! My daughter, in particular. I'd love to be able to speak with Timex about this directly!.

a fantastic product! I'm on my third Timex watch, and I'm in love with them all! I work as a nurse and have a dedicated watch that I wear to work, but I decided I liked it so much that I wanted one for everyday use
5/5

I finally decided on this white watch, which I unfortunately misplaced when I went swimming. This is what I use now, and it's great. I find that this watch is relatively easy to program (though not easy; no electric watch is) and that it lasts a long time; the only drawback is that the white banding discolors over time to a grey color. This doesn't bother me because I prefer grey, but I can see how it might be a deal breaker for some buyers. Overall, it's a fantastic timepiece that I couldn't imagine not having! br>br>I try my hardest to provide detailed reviews to other Amazon customers so that they can make educated purchases. Disappointed that it is not as water resistant as other Ironman watches
3/5

I've been wearing an Ironman watch for a long time - I make an effort to wear them until they are no longer functional - which takes about a year and a half to a year and a half to a year and a half to a year and a half to a year and a half to a I chose these watches because they do not require me to remove them when I am near water. Unfortunately, I've only had this watch for two months, and the face is already fogged up, making it difficult to read. I'm hoping it's just a bad batch and not representative of the brand, but I'm disappointed. Unfortunately, I've reached the end of Amazon's 30-day return period, but I had hoped to keep this watch for a longer period of time.

Indiglo (light) ceased to function after 8 weeks
3/5

This watch was purchased on July 23, 2017 and has been in my possession for two months. The Indiglo feature (which illuminates the watch face) stopped working about two weeks ago. Because I run in the early morning when it's dark, this light feature is essential to me. I can see the time and run splits with it. I just got off the phone with Timex customer service, and they informed me that I need to send my watch to them for repair, which will cost $8 and take two weeks. 4 weeks. A watch should be replaced by the manufacturer if it stops working within 8 weeks of purchase. I've purchased a slew of Timex Ironman watches for women dating back to at least 1990. The straps usually break or the battery dies after a few years (neither of which is easy to replace - either finding replacement straps or batteries, as well as having the necessary screwdriver), and occasionally the light stops working, in which case I fully expect to purchase a new watch. But I don't think I'll have any issues with a two-month-old watch. I don't think I'll be without a watch for more than a couple of days. It will take four weeks to complete, plus you will have to pay $8.
