Questions & Answers

Is it true that the lenses are photochroma?

Hello, yes, this is Photochromic, according to my research. Thanks!

Is this a polarized group?

I'm not sure what kind of riding you do, but polarized lenses are being phased out of many cycling glasses. Shadows with less contrast, changing light, and low light conditions These glasses are fantastic, and changing the lenses is a breeze.

The visibility of a gold lens is poor when mountain biking
3/5

In northern Utah, I mountain bike (in the dry). Trails are dusty and rocky. a few in a pine forest with some shade (intermittently). I was really looking forward to these, but the gold lenses aren't suitable for my needs. They actually make it more difficult to distinguish between drops, rocks, and other obstacles, resulting in some thrilling rides. However, there are no complaints about riding a road bike. They're great in every other way. br>br> The lens changes are simple, and I particularly like the included rose lenses for low-light situations (and for mountain biking in general). There isn't a lot of information out there about which lenses are best for mountain biking, and I made the mistake of thinking gold lenses would work similarly to amber lenses. I'll update my review if I find a better lens to use, but I was surprised to discover that these actually reduced visibility.

Bought Matt Black Frame, Platinum Mirror Lens, Excellent Sunglasses
5/5

These Ruckus sunglasses are a welcome addition to my collection of Smith sunglasses, which I use for cycling. I bought the Matt black frames with the very dark platinum mirror lens, only 2012% visible light transmission (VLT). These are ideal for hot summer days, and the larger lens gives you plenty of coverage. br>br>On the top of the lens, a thin plastic reinforcement runs across it, with a ventilation slot beneath it. Despite the fact that the lens provides more coverage than my older Attack and Pivlock lenses, the width remains the same, resulting in a medium overall fit. br>br>I really like the platinum lens. I'm not sure what the ChromaPop technology does, but everything is crisp and clear, and the grey-based lens adds no strange artificial color tones to the view. br>br>The updated Pivlock mechanism works well, thanks to Smith's addition of lens reinforcement at the corners. The first Pivlock had a hole drilled in the lens, which was much more delicate and fiddly.

If you’re not sure which lens to order, I’d recommend the black or platinum, both 12% VLT grey based Finally, I found mine on an Amazon Warehouse deal, saving me 85% off the regular price. I always check for a Warehouse deal when shopping on Amazon, and sometimes I get lucky and snap up a real bargain.

Pink contact lenses, thank you very much
5/5

These glasses are fantastic, and changing the lenses is a breeze. The pink ones are for MTB rides in low light, and the mirrored/black ones are for more sunny road rides. Both provide excellent coverage for the eyes. They're not too big to cut into my cheeks, and they're not too light.

Is it possible that it was previously employed? Or it could simply be a defective component
3/5

The nose piece is adjustable, and one has since become "worn out" or simply faulty. There is no "click" on the negative side. I'll get in touch with the company and update my review accordingly.

BUYING IS A MISTAKE
3/5

These glasses are not to be purchased. My glasses are handled with extreme caution. I took good care of them and only wore them twice before they were scratched. I'm not sure how I'm going to do it. I've been wearing oakleys for years, and they're also polycarb, but I've never had this issue. I was extremely disappointed.
