The typo has to be there. Rotech16 cables were 16' long when I ordered them. By the way, this is an awesome unit.

The cable has to be attached to the assembly, but must it be taken apart?

Mount the helm first, then turn the shaft and feed the cable into it. cable will be pulled into the helm by the helm.

If only the hardware had been marine grade, we would have been set

All of the parts are excellent, including the helm, cable, mount, and bezel. It doesn't make any sense to me why plated bolts were included in the installation kit, instead of stainless ones. After buying stainless bolts from the hardware store to replace the ones that came with the kit, I had to go back to the hardware store again. Had I recognized that the bolts were plated, and not stainless, I wouldn't have been as concerned, but I had installed 5 of 6 bolts before I noticed the issue. Although simple, installation can be challenging unless you have close access to the steering wheel. I give the product five stars, and I give the hardware one star.

I am so far happy with this product! Since the steering system was replaced, much of the play that was bothersome had been completely removed

As for my center console, it was somewhat frustrating and time-consuming to get rid of the old system and replace it with a new one, but it was worth it.

The > was going out of business so I bought this A steering mechanism for our 14 foot Logic powered by a 50 hp Yamaha is more than 10 years old. Under the steering wheel, there were pieces that were rusted out and the wheel was coming While I spent most of the day removing the old mechanism and cable, it only took me an hour to replace it with It was very satisfying to see the result The steering is tight, there is no play, and there is no rust on the car. As an added bonus, the vendor included a free steering wheel with the box (valued at $30). We have gained a wheel from our old wheel that was unexpected and improved.

I installed it in 1 1/2 hours. It is super easy to install and everything is working perfectly. I thought I would need a helping hand, but the new thing went in much easier than the old one. Little prior experience, so I took on the job by myself.

My boat handles better now that I'm not relying on the tiller but have a wheel steering system. It is the tiller I use for my throttle, so I left it uncovered. On this incredible boat, an original installation was installed. This steering system - along with a steering console and wheel - needs to be installed. I like it a lot!.
