With the SS132xx steering kit, there is a helm bezel and a steering cable included. If you don't know what kind of helm you have on your boat, it's hard to say whether or not the SSC62xx steering cable that comes with that kit will work for you. This is a major upgrade! It was a pleasure to do. Having replaced the old rack and pinion on our 1981 18 foot bayliner with this new Rotary Style steering was a great decision. Taking on this project was challenging, but now it feels like a brand Getting the old rod out of the outboard was the most challenging part, but a rubber mallet and about an hour of pounding it out eventually succeeded.
Only good things can be said about this software!.
My old Teleflex rack and pinion steering system failed, so I bought the rotary steering to replace it. Rotary systems have a higher degree of resistance in the cable and drum, which is why they are referred to as "no feedback". There will not be a twisting movement of the motor in your hand as with the rack and pinion system. In contrast, there is a negative side. The turning is more difficult and the turning is stiffer. From the motor, there is no feedback. If you want to adjust or straighten the motor while it is sitting on the trailer at home, you will no longer be able to grab the motor and turn it. The rotary NFB system eliminates this problem. This system comes with a standard steering wheel that is 13" instead of the smaller 14" wheel used on rack and pinion systems. With the increased resistance, I wish I had looked for a 14" wheel instead of using the standard 13". Using this method will probably be easier, but it will cost more.
The first edition may have been a good starting point, but this is an improvement.

This helm was purchased to replace an old Safe-branded helm This is the helm of T II. I like the way NFB works and the helm seems to be well-designed. As a result, the old helm had a 4-star rating The driver turns off the engine- Don't move A 3-D model of this helm is available This turns out to be a false alarm The steering effort would be increased by noticeably if a 4-inch wheel were replaced with a 5-inch wheel If you turn the wheel, you will find the "NFB 4". Helmet with a 2" diameter.
This product does exactly what it says it will do, it is easy to steer and no feedback can be heard.
