The idea of fishing out of something was on my mind a lot. I looked at a lot of kayaks for sale, but I don't have the storage space to store one and don't want to haul one My initial thought was to look for an inflatable kayak, but after all of the planning of what I wanted out of the kayak (including modifications for a trolling motor), I realized that that probably wouldn't work, especially if I wanted to bring someone. When I started looking at inflatables, I found this one to be a great fit for the price. The boat I bought last December has been waiting for me to use it ever since. Last weekend I was able to get it out. Boats like this are great. The product seems pretty well made and very nice to look at. I am not sure if the materials will hold up for extended periods of time as they appear quite sturdy and well assembled. A Sea Eagle SE9 was the only one I ever owned and there is no comparison between them. In spite of having an electric pump, it took a long time for the Sea Eagle to inflate. In addition to the slowdowns throughout the hull, it also failed to hold up very well. No comparison of prices can be made. Although I bought a foot pump and an electric pump for that boat, I was astonished at how quickly it filled up. In order to reach 75%, it took about 90 seconds per bladder. You will need to put in the floorboards, which can be a bit tricky, but watch some YouTube videos and you can do it Adding another 60 seconds per bladder was needed to get the boat fully inflated. After inflation, the keel takes about 30 seconds to swell. It took about 20 minutes for the boat to get from the trunk to the water, but that includes the time it took to mount the motor, wheel it to the water using my homemade dolly, and load all the tackle. The more I use it, the faster I expect it to be. A small hatchback fits the boat, motor, battery, fishing equipment, and all other gear in the back of the vehicle. Being able to cram so much into such a small space is awesome. I am purchasing an outboard for the boat later in the year in addition to our 30 lb trolling motor. It was no problem for the trolling motor to move it along. The two of us were a little tight in it, but we won't bring the large cooler the next time and I'm sure we'll have plenty of room for two people to fish from The only thing I can offer you is 275 lbs and 6'2". It will be easy to take it out on my own, with plenty of room for myself and any kind of fishing gear I wish to bring along. On the down side During windy conditions, it is blown around a bit. Inflatable boats generally suffer from this problem so this isn't unique to this particular boat. Make sure you have an anchor on hand. One of the things I hated about the Sea Eagle was the pain in my back that I got from sitting on the low seats. Due to the larger tubes, the seating position on this boat is at a lower level than usual. Taking this into consideration, if you spend an hour or two fishing in this boat, you will have an advantage over other boats that do not have this feature. Studying this, I was unable to find any other manufacturer that has tubes of such a size. In addition to being useful once the plane is at a high speed, the larger tubes will also be useful. The boat was so easy to maneuver that standing wasn't an issue, which was another reason to skip In the real world, there are few things that beat having a boat with all the advantages you'd get from any boat except for the fact you have to inflate it before using it. The downside to inflatables is that what they give you in transportability and space, they take away from My personal feeling was that this was the best.

On 8/13, we ordered our Dana, and we received it eight days later. During the delivery of the floor pieces, there was some damage to one of the pieces. After I took pictures of the damaged floor set and contacted Newport Vessels, they sent out a complete replacement floor set the next morning. The customer service at this company is outstanding. As part of the order for the Dana, I also ordered the Newport Vessels Battery Box and an additional Bench Seat. The assembly entails This is a very simple to assemble table. I found the online instructions as well as the printed instructions to be extremely helpful. This foot pump is more than enough to quickly fill up the chambers. It is easy to carry the boat, flooring, and paddles with two people. This is what my wife and I did together. Registration ***

Following the receipt of the Dana, I immediately completed online registration through Newport Vessels and received all of the paperwork I needed to register the boat (excluding paying the AZ sales tax). The following recommendation is made My method was to cut some Plexiglass and order custom lettering/numering to attach the number to the boat register. The grade I used was The boat registration mount is attached to the boat with these links. The picture shows how it looks (see pic). I took my first trip on Wednesday To debut our new Dana, we drove it up to Willow Spings Lake next to Payson, Arizona. A few blocks away from the boat launch, we left our gear and boat. The boat was airtight, and we were fishing within 25 minutes after installing the floor, the battery, the electric motor, and fishing gear. This is a very sturdy car with plenty of space for two people and equipment. On the boat, we received many compliments. I'd like to end with a few thoughts. The foot pump is more than adequate. I had considered an electric pump but in the end the foot pump is better. My order for Inflatable Boat Transom Launch Wheels from Newport Vessels was delivered today. In future, being able to launch the boat much faster will be much easier once all the gear is in the boat. My expectations were clearly exceeded by the boat. The first thing I want to do is tell you why I need An SUV pulled by a Kia Sorrento towed by a travel trailer. Due to this, I had no other convenient way to transport a boat but by topping it up with a car (SUV). I would rather purchase an inflatable boat that is small enough to fit in the trunk of my car With a little extra room it would fit perfectly. Also, I need to inform you that I am almost 81 years old and that operating a cartop boat is difficult for me any more. I am not sure how to put this well. Although it takes a little time to assemble and inflate, I was able to get it done in about forty minutes with the help of my wife. It is only necessary to use the foot pump. Taking the plane deflated, packing, and putting the luggage back in the trunk took about 30 mins. You might find it helpful to get some additional assistance. You only received one seat as stated in the description. Please note that there are two seats pictured, but you have only received one seat. The misinformation needs to be corrected, and Newport Vessels provided a second seat much to the delight of the customer. My brakes have been working fine so far, and I've just purchased and drilled the holes for the wheels. However, the real question is what if did it perform as expected.
