Hooking it up with 12 gauge wire is possible, but depending on the light you are installing you might want to go with a smaller gauge. While LED could get by with 14 gauge or maybe 16, halogen can safely use 16 gauge if it's protected with a shield.

I did not mean to do that. Based on two, the base is two. A large shirt has a chest measurement of 5 inches and a sleeve length of 4 inches. A 5 inch diameter
There is a straight slot on this base to allow the light pole to be positioned. Sadly, it does not lock your pole into place permanently, and it is easily removed.
Selected User Reviews For SeaSense Stern Light Base with Locking Collar
To be mounted on a SeaDoo as an aft running light, I purchased this item. In my shopping cart, I found the SeaSense LED Adjustable Stern Light, 26-inch I've been using an inch to plug into the base, and the two work fine. However, as for the locking mechanism mentioned in the description for both this base and the light pole, I either don't know how it works or it doesn't work. While the two screws on the pole are designed to go into the collar's channel and line up the contacts in the light, they end up blocking the collar of the locking cap on the pole. I think it shouldn't need the lock, since the pole fits snugly into the collar and I expect it doesn't actually need to be locked. The review will be updated after I have taken it out on the water a few times.
Although they have not yet been installed, I put my light pole in the ground to ensure that As I pulled out one of the pins, I pulled with it a wire as well. Pins on these seem to have only the tiniest bit of knurling on them in order to integrate them into plastic. It's very hard to hold them in due to very poor friction. It took me a while to super glue in the other one. As of now, the system is working well. We just gave three stars due to the extremely high price, as one of the marine stores here sells the exact same boat for three times as much.

I've had no issues installing it around my bow motor trolling light, which is small enough to fit around the light.
Cosmetically it looks very cheap, but we won't know if it is of good quality until the time comes. I like how it fits and how well it works.
It's that easy. Exactly what it says it will do, with stable performance.
Does the job.
A socket that fits perfectly with the SeaSense LED adjustable stern light.
