Installation was easy and the light was bright. On my 1995 Catalina 250, I replaced my old incandescent with a foggy lens. Observes a blaze. Rather than 10 Watts, 5 Watts would be more appropriate. The battery life is important for us, since we spend a lot of nights anchored and I don't have to worry about being seen or using too much power.
As soon as the bimini is removed, I need an impromptu anchor light that can be used on my pontoon. At the end of an eight-foot string of lights, I placed the light. I was happy with the PVC, especially because it was not too expensive.
I finally upgraded my Perco anchor light to this LED version after decades of using the old one. It is the same light, but it is much easier to see. It is a bright light, but I can wire it individually from the other navigation lights, so I don't think it will be an issue when I bring the boat in at night (too bright).
Does the job. My needs are met by this level of brightness. It would help if there was a screen over the drain holes to keep small bugs out (even when not in use). Overall, it seems like the sun may over time degrade it. Doesn't seem like high-quality.
This will work great on the boat I have.
It is bright enough to use as an anchor light at the top of my mast.
Only time will tell whether it will hold up over time. Install was easy, and it works well.
I was able to use my LED- Looks bright enough to me. Approximately one quarter of the electricity consumed.
