Please accept my apologies for not being able to assist you. We haven't gone out after dark since the time change. The lights, on the other hand, are something that my husband enjoys.
Don't bother with the magnet test; it won't tell you whether or not you're dealing with stainless steel. My boat's lights have yet to show any signs of rusting.

They're red and green LEDs, to be precise. They are extremely bright, and I am very pleased with them.

These were purchased for my pontoon boat because the originals were worn out and sun damaged. I'm sure the lenses on these will fade over time, but they're a lot less expensive to replace than the originals, and because they're LEDs, they use less power from the boat when they're on.
So, let's start with the fact that this item is extremely well-constructed. It had a nice finish to it, and it was simple to put together. The only issue was that only one side of the LEDs was functional. I returned the item without issue and received a refund for my purchase price; I could see myself getting the one out of a hundred that didn't work and exchanging it, but I needed the beacon on the boat up and running before the weekend.
Quality is of poor quality. After two months, there was water in the sealed lens. Stainless steel that hasn't been polished is very thin. To occomodste the screws that were previously used by oem lights, larger holes had to be drilled. I would not purchase this item again. Spend a little more money on a dependable, high-quality light for your boat. After this season (if they last that long), I'll probably replace them.
It's very bright and simple to set up. I'm hoping the stainless steel component lasts. In my opinion, it's a bit thin. The screws that came with it were flimsy and snapped, so I replaced them with heavier-duty stainless steel screws. Overall, it's fine and won't result in a citation.
I put these in place of the old lights on my pontoon boat and was blown away by how much brighter they were!.
It's a lot more vibrant than the previous one. I dismantled my lights. To make them watertight, I used clear sealant. You will never have to change bulbs again.
This is fantastic. Others I've bought have been a complete waste of money. br>These are vibrant and exactly what we were looking for.
