I was wondering the same thing about the parts that were included. br>Thank you, Tom M and Tom D, for the most incomprehensible responses.
Only by hand is it possible. For the windlass to free fall, you'll need to go to the bow and loosen the gypsy cap cover on top of it. I hope this information is useful.
Yes, it's included, as well as a wrench for adjusting clutch friction. On the boats I've owned, I've installed several.

This kit is missing the 52519 switch, according to my installer, and cannot be installed as is; it requires either the helm switch 52519 or a foot remote, neither of which are included in the kit. He confirmed this with Lewmar in CT, so I'm still waiting for the switch and a full installation after almost a week. When it's finished, I'll post an update. On a 27-foot Bayliner Ciera, this is taking place.
We went out this weekend after completing the Lawmar installation. It was great up and down on Friday night. We went out and dropped the anchor on Saturday afternoon. After that, you'll have to pull it up. We had to unclog it because it had become jammed. The lawmar was stripped when he tried to pull it up again. We'd like to replace it as quickly as possible. It was only put in a week ago. We're sure it's still covered by the manufacturer's warranty, right? What are the options available to us or to you?.
This was my first experience with a windless. I used to have to pull the anchor by hand, but now that I'm older, this will be a lot more convenient. I did a lot of research on this item and really liked it, so I bought it and put it on my boat right away. I'm looking forward to using it for the first time; it's exactly what I expected, with clear and helpful instructions. I needed to contact customer service and was pleased with how quickly they responded. There was nothing wrong with the item; it was just that I misunderstood one of the wires in the wiring diagram.
Windless and rock solid. I've had this model on several boats for over a decade and it's well worth the money. It's a breeze to anchor. To lower and raise the anchor from the bow, make sure you have the bow up/down remote buttons. The installation is simple and straightforward, but take your time and make sure you use the proper cabling. Period. You will not find a better Windless for the money.
Free fall is not 100% and it jams a lot and I am not happy with how it works and I am not happy with how it works and it jams a lot and it This has never happened before with any of my other windlasses.
However, once I started using it, I discovered that it frequently jammed. I figured that by replacing my rope and chain with an 8 plait rope and 1/2" chain, the jamming would be resolved. That, too, did not work. The bottom line is that the dreaded device continues to jam. If you're going to pull the anchor up by yourself, you might as well do it yourself.
WOW, what a deal! It's fantastic. The anti-reverse plastic stop, which is exposed to the sun every day, appears to be deteriorating. It's a near-perfect match for the old Simpson-style television show. Cut-out for Lawrance deck mount out.
Everything I needed was included, and it worked out perfectly. It appeals to me. Everything I needed was included, and it worked out perfectly. However, I underestimated the time it would take to get everything set up. This is something I would recommend to anyone.
