What size chain do I need for my 27-foot Scout?

My cabin cruiser is 30 feet long, and I use a 200-foot rope with a 15-foot chain. You should be able to do it with that.

The transition from chain to rope will not go through the windlass at Five Oceans

This chain and rope set was specifically recommended by Five Oceans for use with their horizontal windlass, so I bought it. When you pull the anchor up, it slips at the rope-to-chain transition. The gypsy is unable to grasp the knot at the chain's end of the rope. br>br>While holding the UP button, I must manually pull the chain up and feed it into the windlass. br>br>I'm not in the mood.

Any HT rated G4 chain must have a stamp on each chain link, according to a simple internet search. None of the chain links are stamped, and this chain does not fit my windlass, which requires that standard; however, Amazon and its supplier, Five Oceans, refuse to refund me because they refuse to pay the 32-pound shipping fee. This purchase left me very disappointed, and as a frequent Amazon customer, I'm left wondering if they're really a good business partner, especially in light of reports that they're driving out so many small businesses. This is my first bad experience, and I had a gut feeling about it, but DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT; it is NOT what it claims to be. Like it! I like how switching from chain to rode is less difficult

This is being used on a Catalina 320 sailboat with a 30 pound CQR anchor and no windlass. This chain/rode replaced an anchor roller bail with a large shackle that was almost always jammed. This new setup is significantly more effective. In fresh water with sandy bottoms.

This is an excellent line

I was a little sceptical about whether or not it would work. It appeared to be a little smaller than the original line. This line, on the other hand, is fantastic! Fine grabs nicely in the windless conditions. I've also noticed that I'm not getting as many tangles as I was with the old line, which I believe is due to the fact that it becomes more malleable when wet. For deeper water, I required a longer line.
