Questions & Answers

The ladder appears to be made of aluminum. Does it have anchor bolts for installation?

There are clips to secure the ladder to your wall, and yes, the ladder is aluminum. Screws are not included in the package. The screws should be 1 1/2" to 1 3/4" long and made of #14 stainless steel. The product is sold at Lowe's. In order to complete the project, you will need 4 screws (4 or 6 in a pack).

Upon receiving the ladder, I was pleased to find that it was in excellent condition While most of the contents of the box seem to be in it, it is destroyed- Having a hard time deciding what to ?

It came the same way for me and it was perfect. It's up to you what you decide.

If I need additional mounting hardware, how do I order it?

You need to know what you are looking for. All the tools you need are in this lader. Mounting it is very easy because it comes with everything you need. My favorite part of it is the music. This is a durable piece of furniture that is well constructed and looks fantastic. This gets a 5 out of 5 rating from me. I am very happy with this If you are considering purchasing this product, I encourage you to do so.

The ladder will hold 285 lbs, but what about 300 pounds?

A ladder is fastened to warshers by four small bolts the ladder appears to be very sturdy. The hold is good for 215 points.

An excellent value for the money
4/5

Construction of decent quality. I assembled it in about 30 minutes, then attached it to our dock in another 30. The installation of the dock decking had to be a little creative, as there are some areas below the dock that are inaccessible. Though a bit 'wiggy,' we should be able to make it work. It is important to remove the thick winter ice (far northern Minnesota) each season because of its thickness.

We love this ladder because it's tall enough for our tall pontoon
5/5

There was a lot of packaging for such a large package, causing it to tear No damage was done to the parts, and all of them were intact. To protect it, I suggest a bit heavier cardboard box and/or tape, as well as more straps to tie it down. It is beautiful! I love it! We expected it to be just fine. We will have to wait and see if it continues to work as well as it did the first time around. I think it's great! The whole group (15 of us) enjoyed the rope swing (especially when compared with There were all the parts of the kit needed to assemble and mount it, so it wasn't difficult. The stainless screws were necessary since where the J hooks hook into the footman loops (another unique name) there is no way to mount the washers or plates and nuts underneath the pontoon, so we had to use wood screws to fix the parts. As well as longer bolts, I bought longer holes just in case they were necessary to go through Being prepared is better than having to struggle to mount it near home after traveling more than two hours. While not ideal, they held up well under significant stress, allowing 250 lb people to climb on them. When climbing the steps, my feet were very sensitive, so I ended up using my walking shoes (fasto shoes with thick soles), but no one complained about me using them. It's just me, my old feet, and my old mind. Besides the mounting loops, I bought extra mounting straps in case we want to place it somewhere else. That is exactly what we needed, it is big and very big. Our solution is to cut 99c store swimming noodles into chunks that fit between the steps on each side and slit the ends so #1 it would float if it goes overboard and #2 padding for when we bump ourselves. The ladder does not go all the way to the bottom, which makes insurance cheap. The picture also appears to be colorful. It appears to be a well-made ladder in general. This is not a heavy item, but a very large one.

Even though there are five extra steps, it's It was easy to put together and of good quality This process takes some time, but it is quite simple
5/5

The five steps we got and not less, I am very pleased with. We are not getting any younger, so the boat we have is an old 1995 pontoon. The ladders have the pliability to allow you to enter and exit the water easily without feeling like you are "climbing" out or "falling" in the water as is the case with traditional I have so far recommended it. I like the way it looks and the ease of setting it up and using it. The hooks from the original ladder fit right on the brackets on the pontoon, so that was a bonus. On the front of the boat, I keep a rope tied to it and a cleat If someone drops it into a lake and it doesn't hook or unhook, you have a chance to retrieve it Be sure to hook it up correctly. We just lay it down across the front of the pontoon when it is not in use, which on ours is a little platform, so it is a large, and I suppose for some may be cumbersome and heavy, but for me it is not a concern since the length is not reduced if it were shorter / lighter. On the whole, it's not very mobile and you don't move it that much, so a few minutes of inconvenience might be worth a whole day of convenience.

There have been three of these I have purchased, and all of them It has faulty design
3/5

The tabs on the ladder that slip underneath the hardware on the deck will flop out. Almost 2 years ago, I bought my first one and it only lasted one In the summer of the following year, I bought another and it also lasted for a season. What in the world made me buy a third when the first two did not work? We had to leave early from our vacation so I wasn't able to outfit my boat for a different model. This stupid thing broke a week after it was installed!.

However, it is a good ladder
4/5

To get onto this ladder from the water, I purchased it for my Lake Dock that is too high. It is an excellent ladder in its own right. It wasn't possible for me to put it in the water because I needed to fix my dock. However, my cousin purchased a ladder similar to mine 3 years ago. There is just one difference her 3-step ladder is a 3-step ladder, and the ladder I bought is a 4-step It is too bad there are no instructions for how to assemble the ladder in this product. I spent about three hours on it After 4 hours of trying to figure out what to do, I finally made my decision. In order to save money, I have a tendency to purchase items that are shipped in boxes. Having a good grasp of things is a plus for me. My cousin built her dock, so for this ladder, I had to go to my cousin's house and look at how it was built. The company needs to make some changes. You are supposed to write In the instructions, it isn't specifically stated how to install the screws. It looks like the screws are pointed ended, but what you really need are flat ended ones. Afterwards you are left with leftover pieces and screws that lead you to wonder (Where did I go wrong? Where do these go? It is once again necessary to improve the company's.

This ladder is good enough at a great price, so if you want to find the cheapest pool deck or dock ladder that is good enough, this is the one to go with
3/5

It is very convenient to have the sloping four step version as it means that when in the water you do not have to lift your legs to get on the bottom rung. The construction and mounting attachments of this box are fairly light It would not be appropriate for 280lb men to use it for years on end. I drilled out the holes where the J hooks mount on the handle so that the square part of the carriage bolt would enter the aluminum tube, allowing the J hook to securely latch to the ladder. It was relatively well made however, mine had one slightly cracked weld. It would have been better if the carriage bolts had been punched with square holes. In spite of this, my 8 year old was able to assemble most of them. I was able to mount it on the dock fairly easily because I removed some boards so I could reach under the dock and tighten the screws while holding the lock nuts. It is important to remember that both above and below the dock/deck you will need tools It is not unusual for this kind of ladder to be used. In addition, since many owners will mount it to a dock that is likely to bobble up and down in the water, some extra mounting hardware would have been nice. Lucky for me, I didn't drop anything in the water but it certainly was.

I love how it works on my dock! The unit is fairly easy to assemble, and the construction is strong and durable
5/5

Dock boards are also screwed directly to the hook mounts as well as the hook mounts. The material is incredibly strong and I never felt it move even when it was carrying all of my weight of 215 pounds. It was a fantastic purchase at a fantastic price. I was surprised by how coarse the ladder treads were, since it can get slippery after a while.
