You might be able to discern a small nub as shown on the picture (top left extreme). This is at the intersection of the upper hand hold and the cross support for An elongated flat hook is what that nub looks like As part of the installation kit there are two associated bar hoops that attach to your flat deck or dock surface with long machine bolts/nuts. Once the bar hoops are properly installed the ladder flat hooks will fit under the bar hoops when the ladder is tilted upward. The ladder can essentially be locked in place upon the flat hooks being inserted under the bar hoops and lowering the ladder so that the crossmembers of the siderails rest against the deck As the ladder is tilted up and lifted, however, the ladder flat hooks come loose from the deck/dock bar hoops, thus making it easy to remove. There are only four permanent holes in the deck/dock - the bar hoops and the anchors. It is easy to remove the ladder.
There is about a 1/2" gap between the bracket and the wall. It adds another 1/2" to the height when the ladder is attached. This makes a total of
280 is a bit high for me, but friends I know close to that number We used the 300 and worked fine. I would suggest you get the longer ladder since it is easier and faster to get out of the water. The only issue is getting the ladder out of the water because it is much I am not sure if the longer version has 4 or 5 steps
I'm not sure what you are trying to ask, but this ladder is well built, has wide steps, and is On my dock, it is really easy to get in and out of the water even though I am 61 years old.

This is the perfect thing to haul our big ol' bodies out of the lake and onto the Fluttering out of the water like a beached whale is over. Our 2x6 deck boards required longer stainless screws so we had to purchase these.
To reach the underside of the boards and install the backer plate, we had to loosen the boards. The lifts can be easily removed from brackets by lifting up.
This ladder is to replace an old one on the diving platform where I swim and dive. As opposed to trying to fix my old ladder, I would have preferred to purchase this ladder years ago. It was hard to put it together due to the minimal instructions provided. My instructions were specific enough to tell me which way to put the treads on the stairs. Honestly, I'm not sure I could have figured that out by myself. However, there were four washers, two of which were larger and two of which were There was no clear indication of where they were suppose As a result, the larger washer could not be used anywhere on the ladder because it was too big. My understanding is that they were meant to be used for mounting brackets to my dock. Despite this, the ID of the nuts was greater than the ID of the washers. I had to purchase two more SS washers with smaller IDs. I don't think it's too big of a When I'm wet, I weigh about 200 pounds, and I eat a good lunch as well. No matter how hard I bounce on it, the ladder still feels remarkably sturdy under my weight.
The ladder I received this week is a major improvement over the little wimpy ladder I used to own. There are two handles on it that can be hooked together neatly Holders are placed on the flat floor of the boat, and it rotates downward to grab hold of them. All of my friends (some older and heavier) are extremely appreciative of the ease with which the ladder was set up for us swimmers that needed to get out of the water. There are four steps needed to climb out of the water onto the boat. This is sold as a kit, so you must assemble it with bolts, but it didn't require too much work. attached it to the front of the boat with bungee cords, and a float was attached to the ladder in case it broke free while in use and tried to sink to the bottom. It feels better on my feet to use the wide steps instead of simple round pipes. I have used it for one summer of heavy duty on the lake and it is still in excellent condition. It is hoped that the welds last for many years!.
The instructions are easy to follow. A first glance of the ladder shows that it is made of anodized aluminum. Kudos on a job well done. Nice finish. Let's get to the bad stuff now. A recreation ladder of this type is called Recreation We are doing heavy duty here. The expected heavy duty was not met. As the bolts will be used outdoors and assembled tight, I expected them to be high-grade stainless steel to withstand the rigorous wear and tear of both. My J Clips went on easily, and they did not require any drilling. Nothing to worry about. While I was holding the aluminum, I noticed that I needed to be very careful not to scratch the anodized finish. Next, the four steps had to be assembled. You slide the carriage bolts through the step and ladder flanges of the steps and steps have four square holes for receiving them. You can then secure the bolt with the locknut. It takes four steps and four bolts to complete one step and eight bolts and lock nuts to assemble one step. I broke two of the first six bolts. After tightening, one of the screws broke All of these tasks were performed by hand (no drilling, etc. ). In another case, the bolts broke before the lock nuts were even tightened up, so the lock nut was not even halfway on the bolts. A second issue is that the carriage bolts are a bit small for the holes cut in the steps, allowing the bolts to move easily in the soft aluminum. Right, that's what I meant. They are also made of soft aluminum. In the usage instructions, ladder climbers are advised to make sure they place their feet directly in the middle of the steps, rather than on either side. The number of people who will try to use the ladder is difficult to imagine, and I am sure many times there will not be anyone there to take their case and tell them they have to step in the middle. There appears to be a weakness or something that can be included with a warning of this type. My return is on the way. Yet we are unsure of what to replace it with. Ladders tend to last for many years, and the last ladder I used was painted steel. The rusting of the rod did not take away its strength, though. There is no need to label this "Pro" and "Heavy Duty" as such. Neither of these are true, according to me.
The idea of getting a ladder for the front deck of our pontoon boat came up recently, as the pontoon boat we have doesn't have a ladder going off of the back. This summer I got one and I am glad I,ve spent the money on it. The brackets are installed on the front deck at the end, and it's ready to go! Takes about 15 minutes to assemble. If you are landing on the beach or swimming in the middle of the lake, the net is very sturdy. Moreover, it can also be used on the side entrance of the boat. If it's not being used, it can simply be unhooked from the brackets on the deck. Our plan is to lay it out on the deck in the front until it's time to use it again. If you have been considering one, definitely give it a try.
There is no doubt that this is the Our boat is being used in a different way now! Because it is so easy to pull our big butts back into the boat, we cannonball and dive so much more. Installed in ten minutes, we absolutely loved the ladder as soon as it was finished. Would you like to feel like you're This sturdy ladder and handrail from AF makes it easy to get out of the water. It's no longer necessary to have ridiculous upper body strength.
The ladder was shipped to me in a package that had been pretty damaged by FedEx. The mounting hardware is included with the kit. This ladder was mounted on the front of my pontoon and I am very happy with it. Despite my overweight and 300-pound weight, I was able to use the ladder without issue. With its greater depth, even old people with bad knees can get on and off the boat. A ladder like this is highly recommended. This square is medium gauge and features extra deep steeps that make boarding easier. To store it, I remove it from the pontoon and place it beside it. to tether the ladder to the boat since a large wave while anchored could knock it loose and cause it to.
Quick delivery of the item and it matched the description. Despite being made of aluminum, it was easy to assemble and install. It is made from good quality aluminum. I use the ladder as an egress from the water as it is very stable and attaches to my floating dock. This dock can be removed from the dock quickly and reattached without any tools, once installed with the included hardware. A good product. It is sturdy enough for my uses, although the side rails could potentially be stronger, but then it would definitely weigh much more and might be a little more difficult The purchase has been a great experience in general.
