Questions & Answers

A straight dock with aluminum sides is what I have. As the ladder steps slope away from the sides of the dock, there is no support behind them. What ladder did you choose?

An inflatable boat ladder looks like this. The steps are designed for easy access during water testing and are sloped to avoid contacting The brackets that attach to the flat floor (deck) of the boat support the structure. If it was for your dock, I'd think it would be fine. This item was a great addition to our pontoon boat, and we are very happy with it.

In relation to the ladder, what is its maximum weight?

There are reports that he weighs 250 pounds. With a weight of 225, I feel like I'm trying to push myself to My dock has a ladder suspended from it. The satisfaction I receive is satisfactory

If you have this ladder for your dock, I would like to know more about it. However, I don't see the at rest position that allows people to climb up without the ladder bending?

There is no risk of the ladder bending because it is so sturdy. Considering the ladder is so strong, I installed it with an extra board under the dock to provide more support as well.

It is used for pontoons. Is it possible to fold this over, so that it can be stored on the boat (still attached), or do we have to remove it?

There is no alternative but to remove it. In order to disengage the curved clips that go into the bracket, you need to pull it up out of the water and into the boat.

If you do not have a socket wrench, make sure you have one
5/5

It was probably enough for me to get four-stars Using a stepwise approach. A dock end cover like this will look great at I'm really impressed with how solid this ladder is. As well as the steps, they are made of Apparently I needed the four-step model instead of the five-step one, and I could probably have done the five-step model as well For my dock, here is the first step. Even with the included instruction sheet, putting it together is not much easier than simply looking at the picture and using your common sense. I didn't have all my tools with me when I put it together at the lake. step, where the nuts go, is a tight space, so I had a lot more difficulty putting it together with my adjustable wrench than I would have done if I would have used I use long nails to secure the planks on my dock. When I attached the ladder and installed the two ladder brackets, the wood plank appeared to flex a fraction of an inch when the kids climbed it. did my best to tighten the lag bolts on each side of the plank by using two 1/4 x 4 inch bolts and washers. As a result, the dock plank where the brackets are attached has been completely eliminated of all flex. The product is good so far, and I am very happy with it.

This is a crap piece of art
3/5

It will be used to build a dock at the end of my boat. The package arrived a bit earlier than expected. It is the only thing that is good. Currently, I am mechanically adept and can assemble things, do my own plumbing, add on to my house on my own, and maintain my vehicle on my own. There was a problem with the ladder's delivery, as the ladder was originally delivered to the wrong location. This ladder needes oil and brake replacement, etc. It was a blessing that I knew the neighbor who received the package. I spent over an hour trying to assemble this without success, but I noticed the steps are not all the same width and the holes for the bolts are not all aligned consistently. The step I am trying to attach will not attach, regardless of the several attempts I have made. Maintaining a loose grip on all the bolts on the attached steps when moving the location. Even drilling new holes to make it work would be impractical since the alignments are so off. As usual, this product is made in China and is of low quality. We buy so much from China, so why do we continue to do so?.

It cost us $150 to purchase the ladder hardware
3/5

My first thought was that the ladder was excellent! The impression is very good. Our 30 1996 tracker pontoon is equipped with wide steps, hand rails, and arm rests. It took a little time to put everything together. I spent about 2 hours on it. The frame was not held together as it went together because there was no help. I took the kids and the whole family to the lake on Sunday for the first time. I had no problems with the ladder during the There were literally dozens of kids running For people like me who are getting older, it's great. I really like the way it's A light is used to remove it from the side of the After I've finished work for the day. It was as if we Around 75 yards away, we were approached by several wake board boats. As a result of the waves catching us from the side, we pushed the ladder above the water on the third attempt. In fact, the J-400 did what it said it would This hook system could be removed from hardware mounted to an all aluminum deck by raising it up high enough. Although the hardware held up, the J-computer was a disappointment As the ladder is just a few inches above the deck level, a hook slips under the hardware. The ladder can then be removed at that angle. If someone is sitting or standing in the same area, I pointed out to the company that a hardware change could prevent them from being hurt. As I told them, my ladder costs $156 and can be found at the bottom of Telico Lake, here in Maryville, Tennessee. It would have been really nice to just say hello! It might be a good idea to tie a boat bumper to it so it will float just in case. The thought may have occurred to TN Vols because we're dumb! It should have been obvious to hillbillies that they should have done As soon as they heard about our misfortune, they sent an e-mail saying, "Very sorry to hear about it and let us know if there was anything we could do **Not to be forgotten** The quality of this ladder is 'GREAT' that's why I went back to get more since we need it As a result, we had to settle on a four-step process instead of a five-step process. In Amazon's process of showing the out-of-stock status, there were five steps. We bought 4 so we can have backups. Today, I found it on Sears' website, which still offers a 5-step process. The same company, Rec*** Wouldn't hurt us too much if we received a 5-step. The package can be returned to me without any questions asked. How much would shipping cost if they paid? In any case, it is a very good ladder.

I liked the treads because they were well rounded (didn't hurt my feet), and it was relatively easy to use
5/5

This is amazing! The only way I could give it six stars is to give it six stars. The three differences between this ladder and the ladder that came with the boat are night and day. There are wide treads (that won't damage your feet) and it is easy to get yourself out of the water afterward. I very much appreciate its sturdy nature and solidity. There is only one set of attachment hoops included with the ladder, so order more if you plan on using the ladder in different places on your boat (I just ordered two sets of additional attachment hoops). The only thing I don't like about it is how big it is. The size of the planet is enormous. As far as storage is concerned, it is very difficult to store because it is quite tall and does not fold. In order to secure it to the side of the boat while underway, bungee cords need to be attached. In addition to that, I have nothing to say. I'm glad I spent the money!.

This would be an excellent match for our dock
5/5

love that the ladder has a strong base and that it can be easily attached to our dock, especially since its bottom step is still above the water at low tides. As my wife has difficulty climbing ladders in general, the slope makes it much easier for her to climb than a vertical one. There is a caution sticker on the ladder that indicates it is not to be used to climb to a boat on a trailer, however it seems to me that walking up to a dock from a "floater" would work just as well. Although he does his job well, he is not perfect. Assembling the component is easy thanks to the well-written assembly instructions. On a table, I put it together- The docking station was easy to install and required no assistance, but an extra hand was appreciated when mounting it. The posts our son added to the dock, each one at the top of the ladder, helped us stand up and climb to the dock (for us the older folks). I did the same, using parts from the hardware store.

This piece of furniture is well made and easy to put together
5/5

A sturdy box held the ladder when it was delivered quickly. It was nice to see welds of high quality and stainless steel hardware of good quality. Stainless carriage bolts and nylon insert locking nuts connect the steps to the side rails, making assembly quick and straightforward. I am using the steps to access the lake from our To quickly get the job done without going into the water, I installed the footman loops to the dock with 3 inch stainless wood screws. Using the hardware included with the hook, I will later secure the loops to the The bottom of each plastic plug on the ladder rail will fill with water, so I drilled a small hole of 3/32 inch in order to allow better A 5 foot set of steps is easily removed from water by an adult, but kids would struggle due to water drag when trying to rotate it out of My first impression is very positive and I wish I would have ordered it earlier.
