My husband used stainless steel screws, which have proven to be extremely durable. It's been sitting on our dock for a long time!
Yes. The bottom and top bend in the same way. I slid the bottom under the dock and secured it.
2. Included
You could do it, but I wouldn't advise it. To make holes in your boat, you'd have to drill them. They're quite lovely.

Paddleboards and kayaks that are lower in the water have a lot of protection. I purchased one of these and one of the Dock Edge brand to determine which I preferred. There are advantages and disadvantages to both of them. br>By comparison, the Hull Hugger is enormous. It protrudes further and covers a larger area. The Hull Huggers are much softer, which may or may not be a pro in your application. The holes have grommets built in, which is nice. Because the Hull Huggers are more of a vinyl-covered foam, I believe they may be punctured or torn, but this is just a guess. The Hull Hugger corners may be more difficult to install if you have metal outside corner brackets, as the brackers may make mounting difficult or impossible. Furthermore, these will not work if you have metal corners with built-in clevis brackets. I hope you found this review to be informative.
I only gave it three stars because I couldn't find out how big these things were before I bought them. This information is crucial when determining what you need for your corners and the existing front of the dock, and the seller should provide it. This product measures 16" X 16" on the outside. 12" X 12" are the interior dimensions. The bumper is 4" thick and 6" wide (from top to bottom), as stated on the packaging. They are missing mounting screws, which must be purchased separately. These bumpers appear to be too large for my application, and I may have to return them, but I won't know for sure until I return to the lake. br>Aside from that, the bumpers appear to be well-made and have firm padding, despite the fact that they are inflatable.
It's simple to put together (just remember to use stainless steel). Only the top 'holes' fit perfectly. Even after a solid hit, it stays in place. For a corner, this is excellent protection. During the first heavy wind docking after installation, the stern quarter was pushed right into the corner by a gust - After the bump, there was no rubbing on the fiberglass.
It performed as expected, providing enough padding to virtually eliminate the use of boat fenders. The boat, on the other hand, completely separated from the base when it brushed up against this corner piece. Overall, it isn't very long-lasting. A replacement will be provided by the seller.
They went in easily enough from the top, but I couldn't get the bottom connection to connect at/below the waterline, and they're very soft, so I'm worried about their durability. Jet boaters on a Chaparral vortex forum advised me to keep them clean to avoid scratching the hull. I haven't had the opportunity to put them to use yet. My brand new boat is still on its way to me. I'm hoping these last long enough for us to gain enough confidence to dock a jet boat with care, and then we'll switch to a more traditional fender setup.
This bumper is of good quality and dense enough to keep my pontoon from crashing into the dock, even when slammed against it. It appears to be strong, but only time will tell.
This one, as well as the one that is half-priced. This one is the real deal, and I ordered it both out of curiosity. It's a fantastic product that does exactly what it's supposed to.
Based on other reviews, I purchased two of these for each corner of my pier corner boat slip. They have a nice appearance and are simple to install, but they are not long-lasting. Both of mine have been ripped to shreds and are in shambles. I'm currently on the hunt for a new product to install. Please keep in mind that I have a 22' Tri Toon (pontoon) boat, which will hit the bumpers more frequently than a standard v-bottom boat. a speedboat with a nose However, if you're docking slowly and just tapping/rubbing against the bumpers, they should be durable because that's what they're for. I used them for about a month in total. They would be ideal for a typical speed boat, but I'm afraid I can't give them more than one star.
