This is perfect for docks on water! Our floating dock consisted of two hinges of this type

In the past, we had a design that broke With these, however, we reinforced the back plates and fitted them with heavy-duty galvanized bolts and nuts. We can no longer detach our dock from our steps in this way. Use the measurements on the description to determine the needed hardware. These parts do not include nuts or bolts. There is no real difference between what you see in the description picture and what you get. It is safe to say that these are VERY heavy duty, and I have no doubt that my dock will be secure with them.

Is well constructed and holds up well! Throughout the last three years, I have been swapping out the joints on my multi-sectioned floating dock

As a result of our June flood, the dock floated down the lake due to the last joint that hadn't been replaced. Unfortunately, the dock was unable to support shore since the shore attachment failed, so the dock floated down three campsite shores until somebody kindly tied it to the When moving the dock back, it was easy to pull the pins and move the dock in sections that were easy to handle. I found it easy to replace pins. It took only a few minutes to install the new joint hinges.

The hinge plate is not oriented correctly, so a star is taken off

I agree with another reviewer here, one of the hinges was pointed 90 degrees in the wrong direction (compare the borrowed pic to the advertised one on Amazon). In spite of that, I was still able to get it to work since both plates fit. There was almost a powdery finish to the satin zinc finish. Other than that flaw, they are well built and should last for many years to come. The two jacks were positioned on the land side of a 20' wooden dock ramp connected to a platform near the shore.

I had no problems with these hinges

Those were the stairs on my deck! had problems with frost heaves, which lifted my deck stairs and generally made a mess of my deck. The hinges allowed the stairs to move up and down with the level of the ground surface, so I decided to replace them. A boat dock responds to the tides just as a dock does.

The finish is not the same as in the Orientation of the product is also different than the image

The unit was of decent quality for the price. It is obviously deceiving to look at a product image. I received 4 units and all of them were inverted. They were not high quality at all. It didn't occur to all of them to be oriented N/S as it appears Among the two, I considered two of them to be N/S and two as It's worth mentioning that these work, and seem to be holding up, but I would not rate them higher than a three star rating.

This is the. A floating dock and this were purchased to create a connection. Our application has been ordered from other vendors (JET) before, and the hairpin cotter pin was galvanized. The hairpin cotter pin from this vendor will eventually rust. We bought the Amazon version to save a couple of bucks. JET will be our next choice, thank you. As a result, the JET version also has no welding splatter or sharp.
