I will let time tell whether it is working. A large wave can make docking the boat in the boat house quite challenging for us! We live on the end of a lake with large waves! The boat has been damaged more than once when the traditional air filled 3/4 round corner protectors on the dock are struck, then the bumper slips over the top and damages As the boat goes into the dock slip these corner protectors project out farther from the corner post allowing the boat to push off the bumper. This is exactly what we needed at this moment more than anything else. It will be interesting to see how these will stand up to the pressure of boat bumps. In terms of the installation, we had a little trouble installing these to our decking boards as the top decking board overlapped a 1/4 inch gap at one point during installation, but after a little carpentry adjustment, they are securely attached.

I think this should work fine for my application but the picture does not match what you get when ordering.
