Product Description

This single-cavity D-shape edge design by Harbor Edge has a flexible component that prevents boats from hitting sharp intersections and dock edges, and is perfect for vertical dock pylons and horizontal dock

The EasyFlex Galvanized Dock and Deck Screws are recommended for installation, however, and are sold separately, and can easily be unrolled, cut to size, and anchored to docks or piers.

I was surprised by the outcome

The first time I ordered, I was sceptical. Despite that, this bumper is very thick and exactly what I had in mind. The order was for 16ft the item is 3ft. I have 5 feet on 4 dock poles for my boat, and the bow bumpers on my pontoon trailer takes up a small fraction of that. I love how easy it is My saw was used to cut the wood. It looks as if I am going to order the P bumpers for the edge of my dock soon.

The look is excellent

This is a very easy to install product. It's great to have them. Just installed some PVC pilings on the beach as part of a dock construction project. The name of these is not clear to me). Besides looking great and protecting both boat and doc well, they do a great job as well. The wake of the boat causes a number of problems at our dock, since it is on a heavily traveled stretch of water during holidays. I like the look and function of these strips.

The quality of the product is good. This is an easy to install software. When I ordered the dock edging for the first time, I got the P profile. "D" profile pilings for my round pier pilings of 10" diameter were what I wanted. After I got the "D" profile, I had no problems. The material is easy to cut (I used a cordless saber saw with a After spending time in the sun, the paper flattened out Stainless #10 x 1-inch bolts are used to attach it to the pilings A 1/2 inch pan - A cordless drill is used to drive stainless steel screws and washers It is easy to use the driver. We should have done this years ago, instead of using pieces of flattened fire hose that we come across in the wild.

It looks great when new, but after a couple of months, it starts to mildew and turn black

Don't waste your time or money. Despite installing 80 feet of this inferior product with more than 600 screws and washers, I'm not happy with it.

I think a 2 foot interval of screws would be a nice touch

My piers are surrounded by five 16 foot lengths of wood. Installation is easy with no predrilling required. The material will need to be stretched prior to installation so that it installs completely without sagging. Then the drill will need to be used to drill the holes. I think the D profile is fine, but if I had it to do over I would choose the P profile. I think it would be a cinch one person job and since it would be supported from the dock edge surface there shouldn't be any.

Pilings benefit from this product

This product was purchased to replace dock lumber that was screwed to pilings and used as a bumper. To have these lie flat, you have to use a lot of screws. The method that worked for me was to use stainless pan heads with a hammer drill to prevent stripping of heads.

It's well worth the investment

The product does everything the big brand does at a fraction of the cost. With the white color, I really like the fact that the color runs the entire width of the vinyl, as opposed to the big brand, where the white is just a superficial surface coating.
