You don't need to attach the nuts. Contacting Amazon I received an e-mail confirmation of the plan. We did not see them. Using a correct size of hex or nut is necessary for sure success. In general, the cleat is a pretty good thing if not for the added pain it entails.

Great! I'm on the right track. My purchase was for paint and hang to hang on the wood deck for towels and water bottles in the lake. The finish and enamel composition are very smooth and nicely finished. I like this size (6"). So I ordered more I ordered more!.

A great deal o these are excellent! This pair of hooks is mounted in an old piece of wood that has been stained with weathered gray grey stains. They are a great towel hook for our bathroom. I would like them to have a little bit more of an antique look, but they're still very nice.
