The angle on my unit is a 90 degree I changed direction, and I think it had a rubber seal there, so check that, and make sure the screws on bottom are snugged up pretty good don't overtighten since it is plastic today I used it all day.

It is a well-designed pump with high durability

After 10 years on my boat, the previous equipment quit. I replaced it with this new one. The reason I chose this brand was because my mechanic recommended it for its reliability and because it had more power than the one I had. Furthermore, it has a replaceable motor, so if ever the first one should fail, the second one could be replaced with ease.

Size of the pipe at the intake A comparison of actuals and nominals

The size is A nominally 3/4" unit, this one is manufactured of plastic. In any case Obviously, they don't tell you this is for IPS (Iron Pipe) and not SAE (straight threads). Pump intake for this "3/4" size has an external diameter of 1 inch. The number 03". There are 14 threads per inch (TPI) attached to this thread. Aside from that Inlet screens are designated by nominal sizes using the same IPS notation.

The live well has been used to recirculate the water. As of now, it seems to be working well. I mounted myself and wired myself myself. If you drill holes into a live well, you should check the inside and outside of it thoroughly.
