I put it in my boat tool box as a spare, and I assume it will work as advertised. I have learned over the years to always have a spare on board, and that is what I bought this one for. My last spare sat in my box for 5 years before I needed it, and I hope this one won't be needed for at least another 5. It could easily rate 5 stars, but since it may be years before I use it, I gave it 4.
When I tried to push the connector into the rubber hose, the adapter snapped in half, which I didn't like. I oiled the second one, and it slipped right into the hose. It was necessary to place an order for a replacement.
We replaced our old line with a new one, and this is the piece fuel connector we chose for our Johnson outboard motor. We took the boat to the lake for a weekend of fun with family, and all we did was fight with this fuel connector that wouldn't stay snapped in to the motor. We all tied a piece of rope around the motor to press the connector in and hold it in place so we could finish the day. I got back on the phone and went to my local omc Johnson dealer to get a new one, which now works perfectly!.
It would have gotten a 5 star rating with a little more attention to detail, but it will leak.
part.
This is a good backup plan.
It does exactly what I need it to do.
