Questions & Answers

Is there a grip handle on it?

There is no grip handle, but two indents at the ends to help lift the can on the end of the can you can see one of them.

It doesn't make sense what you are saying about product dimensions. I would appreciate it if you could give the correct dimensions. ?

18" deep by 11 5/8" tall with 24" long by 18" deep by 11 5/8"

Does this work for a portable generator with a thin metal tank on the bottom which has gas coming out of the bottom (good generator just a ?

It would be nice if you set up a fuel pump right next to your generator. During my time using two 6 gal tanks, I used them quite extensively. The tanks were filled and then the tanks were switched using a boat type connector. There will be no spillage

If my pick-up tank breaks, can I get a replacement one or will I have to buy a new one?

As you can see from the picture, I also added another quick connector on top so that you wouldn't have It is unlikely that they will be from the same company, hopefully

The vent is not present
3/5

MAKE SURE YOU ARE WARNING THE BUYER! I bought it to use on my pontoon. The installation was done as per the specs. We filled it up with water and went to the lake. Our time outside has been limited due to the poor weather. This just so happened to be the day I noticed the broken strap. There is no mechanism to vent the tank or cap on its own. As a result of swelling, one of the straps of the mounting was broken. It says to tighten to 3 clicks on the fuel cap. Having done that, I wanted to write this down. When I removed the cap on the inside of the tank, I used pliers to vent the pressure. Fortunately, there has not been a high temperature above 65 degrees here in Kentucky. Unless I do this I would probably be dealing with a busted tank. We are disappointed!.

I was told that the two fuel tanks were vented when I purchased them. After using them for about a year, I have found there to be many issues, including boat and vapor locking issues and carbureters. When taken to the repair shop, it was discovered that the tanks could not be There are false claims on this fuel tank and we would like a refund or vented caps for both tanks at the very least.

Whenever I have tried to use this tank, it's given me problems
3/5

About a month ago, I bought the tank at Attwood, and they told me the cap had to be turned until it began to rattle. Even with the vent turned off, the tank continues to shrink. Every time I want to get oxygen on the boat, I have to stop it. As well as the fuel gauge, this does not work. The item will be returned as soon as possible.

Tanks after the cap has been modified are great
4/5

Gas can of good quality. Due to the poor design of today's gas tanks, my gasoline will swell and become under pressure. Not what I want to happen to something so explosive. Using the lid as a template, I drilled holes through it. As a rule of thumb, I did mine through both layers of the lid simultaneously. In order to prevent the fuel from slipping out through the aligned holes, it would be better to drill through a layer of the cap at a 12 o'clock position, and then drill through the flip side at 6 o'clock. Fuel could be prevented from splashing out if that were done.

The tank is a good value for the price
5/5

It is a 12 gallon Attwood. This fuel tank is exactly what I was looking for. In comparison to my old 6-gallon tank, this gives me double the capacity. For my boat, I need a tank. If the connection type is different from what is expected, you will need to add your own coupling. The fuel gauge functions properly, but I expect it to cease working over time. Overall, it is well constructed, though it does feel a bit flimsy in places, (maybe it's just me. ) I would recommend it for its size, price, and value. A fuel tank like this is needed if you want to haul more fuel with your boat.

He needs some relief from the pressure
3/5

This happens when the cap is closed correctly, causing it to swell up very much. The staff told us that it's designed to do this and that it's fine. So my cap doesn't expand like that, I leave it unrighteousness a touch when the boat is stored. Whenever we use it, however, we should tighten As soon as I got back to the back bench, the gas can had swelled up so much I couldn't remove it.

I thought this was a great product, but a leak occurred from the output because of an incorrectly vented cap which caused the tank to swell
3/5

My other one didn't leak, but this one did. I wasn't in the sun, but rather in an enclosed garage with temperatures that were about 5 degrees warmer than outside.

There is an excellent venting here
3/5

Everywhere there is a leak. After filling the tank, he put the cap on it, and the next morning he awoke to find that fuel was all over the garage There was no difference in temperature between the garage and the outside. Definitely defective. I lost about half of the gas I put in the tank (about 5 to 6 gallons). Yes, I agree. Everything has been used up.
