It doesn't seem to be the very same catch flag that fishing boats usually fly in front of docks as they head back to the harbor, which is probably why I bought it as a decoration instead of for use, but it sure looks like it.
As usual it arrived rapidly and was packaged very nicely. I believe that I will be able to use it every day.
Flags of boats are the same size as a piece of paper. It is vinyl/polyester wall decor that is good quality with good colors. Bought this for a wall decoration for my boss' office.
The colors of my sail are always a source of pride when I land and sail.
The perfect complement.
Having no problems with it on my eurovan camper, and it's held up even when I've driven around the neighborhood at 30 mph I can fly it from my rail mount boat flagpole at 45 mph without it coming apart. I find it much better made than the one that came with my rail mount boat flagpole. The only thing I wouldn't do is leave it on on the highway.
The design of the marlin and the colors are so appealing to me that I bought it three times We've got nonstop winds here in the red sea ranging from 10 to 30 knots, so the flag size is very good for a boat this size. On average, there are 15 to 18 knots of wind. The wind slowly tears the flag apart as it blows across the field. Although I like folding the mooring line down, I always do so when I'm anchored. It would be better if the flag factory used a thick, tear-proof material like rubber to cover the edges of the flag. A tear starts on the outside and ends on the inside.
