purchased the Traditions Performance Firearms One Piece Scope Base for Traditions Break- Among other items I and my wife recently purchased Muzzleloader Rifles do not fit the pre-assembled rifles and the set screws that come with the kit do not work A brand new Traditions Vortek Strikerfire muzzleloader that I just tapped holes into. I found that the smaller screws that came in the gun box pulled right through the scope base when I attempted to use them. The fact that I chose the gun manufacturer's product for all "break open" muzzleloaders as described in the description makes it frustrating and unnecessary for me to purchase a product that is inconveniently incompatible.
It is impossible to put this scope mount on a "Traditions" base because the screws are too long As indicated by the manufacturer and seller, the Muzzleloader is a Canyon. Having been recommended to purchase this item by Traditional firearms themselves, I ordered the item based on its product number. But there is a problem with the screws, as they bottom out during installation, leaving the scope mount flopping on the ground. How would you solve this problem? This is not a good buy. In the meantime, you might want to go to a local hardware store that sells screws of 3/16" length. Acquire screws with the same diameter and thread pitch there. The fact that someone is given a product that is supposed to function and doesn't is still poor customer service.
It is suggested that you read the reviews about the size of the base screws before purchasing. They must have been read by Traditions. I was able to use these screws because they were the I would not consider this base to be of high quality in any way. of the Allen style, so they are really cheap. They begin to strip once you torque them down to the proper torque. You may be interested in researching Warne steel bases if you're looking for a high quality base. For my friend who owns a Traditions Outfitter G3 350 legend, I built this base.
I don't think a manufacturer that does not know its own equipment technical specs is a credible company. Another source purchased a Traditions rifle for me. A Traditions scope base and Traditions scope rings were purchased. No torque specs are provided in the rifle manual, nor are any with the rings or base. A message was sent using the email address provided by the manufacturer. There were a couple weeks ago when that happened.
Fits perfectly in.
As a matter of fact, it won't fit any traditional gun since the screws don't fit the threading is different.
Traditions can be summed up in one word. This is unacceptable. Purchasing this Muzzleloader from them will be my first and last purchase. There is no info on the thread sizes for taps or the bases of taps. For my StrikerFire LDR, I tried three different bases and they do not At that, it is a specific tradition. At a minimum, they ought to make sure that owners' manuals have the proper information to avoid this problem. This is unreal.
There is alignment between the holes, but the screws are the wrong thread size As far as the scope worked, you'll want to use medium rings so that the eyepiece of the scope is clear of.
